Aston Villa made a real mess of Bolton smashing them 5-1 at Villa park. This has left them just one point behind us but now with a superior goal difference, them on +8 to our +6

Blackburn 3-1 Portsmouth doesn't really affect us but

Man City drawing 3-3 with Burnley? What is it with City and draws? I really though they were going to be the side to prize that elusive Champions League spot away from one of the regular top four but not with that sort of form.
Yes, we lost to Stoke at home but theres more pressure on them to finish top end than us and that may start to tell as the season progresses, leaving the door ajar for us and Villa if 'pool dont get their act together.

I was shocked by both of those results (and quite happy about them as well).

I think City can scorer goals, but defensively, it takes time to get a cohesive unit (as we well know).

I'm not sure how much Liverpool can regroup at this stage. Gerrard is out, Torres didn't play and they seem to be the main two players that can win matches for 'pool. I hope they stay down exactly where they are.

May be a bit early for them to be doing that with half an hour to go.

I think

We want three
we want three
we want three

would be better.

Fair play to Big 'eck and his Berbigab team, they held on for a point at Anfield and done us a right favour in denying Liverpool a win :thumb

Been a good afternoon peeps. Citeh and the Bin Dippers got a point a piece in a 2-2 draw. Villa got a point at Burnley and have leapfrogged us (temporarily I hope) into fourth on goal difference but we have our game in hand against Wigan tomorrow. Here's the good bit, Woolwich lost at the Stadium of Light. While it's always good to see the enemy losing I might have preferred a draw here 'cos that three points moves Sunnerland a bit nearer to us. All in all though the results went our way today and I just hope we don't go and f##k it all up against Wigan tomorrow by either losing or drawing. :tantrum

Ah yes Sundeland beat the scum. From what I heard Andy Reid and frazier Campbell both had a hand (not gooner Henry type hand off course) in Darren Bent's goal. 3 former yids return to dent the gooners season, ah magic.

Also can laugh at both my sisters families as West Ham continue thier efforts to get into the Championship next season. I an thinking of sending them some print outs from mapquest of how to get to grounds like Doncaster, Sgithorpe and Blackpool for next year.

As with Henry, the ball is completely in our own hands.

I dont think the weekend could have gone much better for us so far really. I prefer that Sunderland beat the gooners than drew because Sunderland are more likely to run out of steam towards the end of the season so (as long as we beat Wigan) I'm happy enough for them to be sitting where they are because theory is they should fall away as the season draws to a close despite my warnings - since the end of last year - that they will become a reasonable force in the near future, possibly on par with us, Villa and the toffee's for potential.
For the same reason if Burnley had have nicked a win against Villa it would have made it all the better but over all they've been cracking results so far for the yids.

I'm not one to revel at any Premier league player getting injured, even players of teams vying for our coveted fourth spot. However this mornings news that Van Persie will be out for five months with his ankle injury despite bathing in horse placenta and dog sh 1 te, has to weaken our bitter rivals Woolwich and be good for our own chances :eyebrow
