Winters is right around the corner...

Well, tomorrow is the first day of fall, and as quickly as time is flying by, winter will be here in no time! For all our members that have outside torts, what will you be doing as the temp's drop? Setting up a heated shed or bringing them into the house/basement/garage?

Turdboy is still living in his dig under the woodshed, so in the next few weeks, i'll start stocking up on straw/hay, check the heatbulbs to make sure they work, buy a new full spectrum bulb and clean out his shed. Its full of cobwebs, so it will definatly need a good hosing out. Its still really hot in so cal, over 100* all week, but the mornings are starting to get a chill to them. I'd say in a month or so, he'll start heading back towards his shed.

They are also saying we will have decent rain this winter, so i'll be getting the tarp set up also. This time i'm going to make a frame, so the tarp is tall enough for me to walk under... it will make cleaning out his house much easier!

I'm not ready for summer to be over... cleaning up after him is as simple as walking around the lawn with a small rake & shovel, and poo's go straight into to trash... in the winter, its a lot harder, as a lot of days he never comes out! he'd rather stay snug and unfortunatly, that means giant pee's in the shed! yucko! LOL
