Posts: 1,708 Group: Admin Member #1 Joined: June 4, 2008	Uploading Rules: 1 – Files: Unfortunately there is not enough server space here to allow everyone to upload directly to the site. So in order to share your creation with us, you will have to use a third party site like Media Fire or Box Net. 2 – Pictures: A picture is required to showcase what you are giving us to download. I’m not picky. It doesn’t have to be an in game picture, although that is preferred. BodyShop has a totally different lighting system so many times it will not fully show us the details that you’ve created. Take pride in your creation and show us what you’ve got! If you are uploading something like a skintone, then some measure of decorum must be taken. Please make sure to censor any below-the-waist nudity. I’m not going to get upset if you show a skintone with a nipple, but please try to keep these at a minimum. Try not to include ANY skintones that have anatomical details from the waist down. 3 – Credit Where Credit’s Due: If you use someone else’s work in your creation, it is IMPERATIVE that you include credit. It’s the right thing to do. It is also customary to provide a link to where you got the item, or at the very least, a link to that person’s profile at the various site you got the item from. If you do not know where an item came from, and the tooltips in BodyShop don’t indicate who made it, then please credit to “unknown”. This way we will know that you didn’t create it. The biggest problem that gets to me in the Simming Community is that people will quickly take credit for something someone else made and not bat an eye about it (SEE= The Sims 2 Exchange, aka The Cesspool). This can not and will not be tolerated here in The Lair. 4 – Creator’s Respect: It is absolutely necessary that we abide by the original creators policy when using their items in our uploads. If a creator says “Do not redistribute” then don’t include it in your upload. If a creator says “Don’t include my mesh” then don’t include the mesh in your upload. You are more than welcome to show this in your pictures, but you should provide us with a link where we can get it instead of including it with your upload. The only exception will be pay meshes. If you use a pay mesh, still respect the original creator’s wish by not including the mesh with your upload, however you are able to link us to a site that offers the mesh for free. If this is the case, you MUST link to the original pay site creation and THEN the free site where it can be obtained. 5 – Orphaned Meshes: If you have an item in your upload that requires a mesh from a site that is no longer available (i.e. Louis’ Elf Ears), I will consider allowing you to include that mesh. I will first need you to send me a PM regarding your request. I will then take your request into consideration. 6 – The Sims 3: SynapticSim's Lair is for The Sims 2 content ONLY. You may not upload The Sims 3 Custom Content to the lair in any form. Please review the policy located HERE for further details and explanations. Any Sims 3 Content found on the site will be deleted without question and you will receive a warning for disregarding the site rules. 7 - Questions: If you ever have a question about whether something is right or not, please do not hesitate to send me a PM. I will answer you as soon as possible.
