Alfreton Town have signed goalkeeper Phil Senior (pictured) from Conference side Droylsden but only after a very early start for manager Nicky Law on Friday morning. Senior, 25, was on his way to a job in Milton Keynes for 7am and Law showed his dedication by getting up before the lark to meet the goalkeeper at Tibshelf services at 5.30am. Senior joined Huddersfield Town in 1999 as an apprentice and went on to make 52 appearances including one against Chelsea in the FA Cup. He moved to Northwich Victoria in June 2006, making 25 Conference appearances, before moving on to Droylsden in June 2007. Made two appearances in the Conference for the Bloods this season. Senior is available and eligible for Saturday's FA Trophy tie at home to Southport. |
