The Seadogs looked to have escaped relegation following Canvey Island's resignation and Altrincham's 18-point deduction for fielding an ineligible player, but they have now been consigned to the drop. They will now start next season Conference North with a ten-point deduction. Conference chief operations officer John Moules revealed they had no choice but to relegate Scarborough. "On Friday, Scarborough successfully entered into a voluntary arrangement with creditors and members and therefore based on that, the Football Conference had no choice but to place Scarborough in the Conference North from next season and deduct them 10 points,"Moules the Scarborough Evening News. Can anyone tell me why they have actually been kicked out and have 10 points detucted?? Cheers

Huddersfields finest Posts: 13,034 Group: Admin Member #1 Joined: June 2, 2005	Anyone who enters into a Creditors Voluntary Agreement (CVA) are deducted 10 points. Thats the rule set out and the same has happened to Rotherham who will start next season with -10 points. The same thing would have happened with Town but the rule was only recently introduced.

After reading in the Yorkshire post (yesterdays paper) it said that no reason to why they have been kicked out has been stated to them.

The Conference is an absoloute farcical league, but Scarborough came bottom and should have gone down anyway. They were only being saved by Canvey's resignation and Alty's over the top punishment, again handed to them by the farcical Conference board.
