I hear great things of this Sheffield Wednesday player.

Owls manager Neil " cuddly chops " Warnock rates him very highly I believe ?

I signed Burton on FIFA MANAGER in 2007/2008 season. Made a massive contribution in the Bantams push for the Premiership.

I think this could be the start of a Burton O Brien Appreciation Soicety.

Anyone else like to post any of their favourite BoB anecdotes ?

The Burtster :

" Burton O Brien signed in the summer from Jp Macgoverns old club Livingston with quite a reputation. Touted as wanted by the old firm, the owls were seemingly lucky to get hold of him.

South African born Burton joined Wednesday from Livingston in the summer, the Owls beat off several other clubs advances to secure the left sided midfielders services. Burton began his career as a 17 year old at St Mirren where his performances warranted him a move to Blackburn Rovers but in two years at Ewood Park he made just one appearance before heading back to Scotland to join 'Livi' he was part of the side that won the league cup in 2004. When you have the "Burtster" theres really no need for any other players.

By the way is the Burtster at the World Cup this year ? If not WHY NOT ?

Dont be too downhearted Owlie all the best players wear 8 though Owlie. For example Keith Briggs

The Silkster I'm afraid is unavailable. He's currently on his summer holidays in Dronfield. Loves it there goes every year
