Bizzarely VBM hasnt included a dedicated Stockport County section so it looks like I'll have to start one

Rumour has it that Stockport County will quite comfortably win League 2 next season. No I must stress that at this stage this is unconfirmed and is only a rumour but if anyone else has any further information it will be much appreicated.

You know what talking to yourself means though.....

What activity has there been this summer so far anyway? Lots of players coming and going? Just looking from the outside and not realy knowing a lot it seems that in recent years you really have gone down-hill and there needs to be quite abig overhaul if your fortunes are going to turn-around anytime soon. Hasnt Hampshaw been released? I thought he was supposed to be on of the better players?

We've gone downhill big style VBM although we're pretty confident that after last seasons near relegation we have reached the lowest point.

With a fresh, young and much loved manager, Jim Gannon at the helm the feeling is that the good times could be on there way back although as you say an overhaul is needed and it may take a year or two before we challenge for promotion

Hamshaw has indeed been released. Excellent player who up until feb was a our player of the season. He fell out with Jim Gannon though so he had to go. I'd expect to see him in League 1 next season

We have so far brought in Tony Dinning which could be one one of League 2' signings of the summer. Vast experience at higher level, only 31 and a County legend ( 1994 - 2000 )

Justin Walker's in talks with Burton - best move fast or you'll not get league 2's most complete midfielder.

Also Eddie Anaclet's already signed for someone else - unlucky!!!

Damn ! I was a massive fan of Anaclet. Some of his performances for Chester were almost Vaughan Jnr like

As for Walker. I'm astounded to hear he's off to Burton. Or maybe thats a smokescreen and the rumoured move to Bayern Munich is back on ?

Stockport in Europe update :

Stockports participation in Europes premier club competition came to a disappointing end last night with a 1-0 defeat at the hands of Scunthorpe

Scunny go on to meet Carlisle in the final of the Ibiza based San An Cup

Still a European semi final exit is not a bad achievment

Stockport in Europe Update 2

From Hattersmatters website

" County's 3rd / 4th place play-off game in the San An Cup was abandoned in the second half with County winning 3-0, after a UE San Jose player seriously assaulted a linesman and a replacement was unavailable. Rumours suggest that the linesman was bought back to life by ambulance crew at the scene "

Even more bizzarley Tes Bramble scored 2 goals
