Topsy-turvy at Villa, but the general concensus is that a takeover by whoever would be better than Ellis staying in charge. I'd have to agree with this. Under Ellis I think Villa will go down this season. In the premiership a club that stands still just for one summer in the transfer market is looking doomed. At the end of last season Villa's form was atrocious and I feel sorry for O'Leary in some ways because he must have been working under hard circumstances and still be expected to finish around the top 8. With a lack of spending you have to get real, Everton have splashed out about £15m this summer and they will probably only still finish around 6th-8th at best.

It could be interesting times at Villa if they get a take-over though. I think Still or Lerner would bring about the most change.

On another side level - he's called Randy Lerner, how funny because thats what I call myself! :lol:
