Advanced Poster Posts: 5,219 Group: Bradford City Member #76 Joined: March 22, 2006	Alfreton Town have signed goalkeeper Phil Senior (pictured) from Conference side Droylsden but only after a very early start for manager Nicky Law on Friday morning. Senior, 25, was on his way to a job in Milton Keynes for 7am and Law showed his dedication by getting up before the lark to meet the goalkeeper at Tibshelf services at 5.30am. Senior joined Huddersfield Town in 1999 as an apprentice and went on to make 52 appearances including one against Chelsea in the FA Cup. He moved to Northwich Victoria in June 2006, making 25 Conference appearances, before moving on to Droylsden in June 2007. Made two appearances in the Conference for the Bloods this season. Senior is available and eligible for Saturday's FA Trophy tie at home to Southport.

Advanced Poster Posts: 5,219 Group: Bradford City Member #76 Joined: March 22, 2006	Went to the re-arranged trophy game tonight and although Senior had nowt much to do, but he instilled a lot of confidence in the back four and commanded the area well. I think he will make a lot of difference to Alfretons team, Nicky Law has brought in a lot of decent young players and can see Alfreton in the playoffs. I'm surprised he has got released by two clubs as I feel he can do a job in the football league, I'd happily have Senior as an understudy to Ricketts.

Huddersfields finest Posts: 13,034 Group: Admin Member #1 Joined: June 2, 2005	Im suprised how low down he's had to go!! He was always a decent number 2 keeper. I think he could be a number one at most League 2 teams really.

Now he plays for FC Halifax. As if a keeper has slid from League One to Unibond Division One in a matter of a couple of seasons.
