Sounds like a very encouraging start to the season against one of the favourites for promotion. I think we are going to surprise a lot of people this season. Would like to have been there but had to go to a wedding, looking forward to Leicester next Sat though, reckon we could be looking at not far off a sell out ? How did Thompson play ? In fact lets have your marks out of 10 for the whole side. Hey JD My mate instantly got on Thompsons back but i think it will take him a match or two to settle down. He did seem a little lost on his own at the first half. Fon Williams id say def a 8, looked confident and not dazed by the occasion. I got to pick Jake up from football training so have to go now. Ill fill u in when im in work tomo. Good to see Fon Williams doing well. Its about time we had a regular No.1 keeper instead of endless loans. Big step up for Thompson but I trust Jim Gannon's judgement so we'll have to give him a decent run in the side. Gary Dicker struggled when he first arrived but when he settled he became in my opinion our best player last season,

Huddersfields finest Posts: 13,034 Group: Admin Member #1 Joined: June 2, 2005	Hudds fans anticipated much more but didnt get too much to get excited about. Stockport looked a decent passing team and performing like that will finish mid-table. Its only one game though and so its hard to tell. We had very poor shape and often had no left sided player. Stockport looked okay but seemed to lack ideas in the final third.

How great was it saying to other fans - County game was postponed this de to internationals. .. . Roll on Sat although wont be there just listening to it on Pure Hoping we get a striker in soon or we are in trouble

Although Scunny put 4 past Brighton the week after so they seem to be a pretty decent side. We'll put that down as a one off result. Reasonaly confident of getting something at Orient tomorrow No sign of that elusive striker yet ?

Looks unlikely to play tomorrow night against Oldham. Can't blame Jim though, seems that Owen is in the wrong. hopefully an apology from him and it'll blow over ?

Advanced Member Posts: 124 Group: Stockport County Member #169 Joined: April 25, 2007	yes Danny still playing in the development squad - he is always in the junior suite before the matches most of the young players are, especially around half two where they go to the sweet table to pick up a pick in mix for the match. Apparently in the Midway on Wed night a man was mouthing it off to my mate that he knows all about county and he reckons come the January window Pilks, McNulty and Rowe are all being bought by bigger clubs - i guess we will have to wait and see. Personally i wouldnt mind Pilks going but upset if the other two went,
