Notts have made their first new signing of the summer by bringing in much-travelled striker Jamie Forrester from Lincoln City.

The 33-year-old forward, whose contract expires at the end of June, was offered a new deal by Lincoln.

County boss Ian McParland told the club website: "Jamie has agreed to join us.

"He had the chance to stay at Lincoln but chose to join us and I look forward to seeing his name appear regularly on our score-sheet next season. His track record speaks for itself"

Following on from the completion of loan man Michael Johnson's move from Derby County, Forrester's arrival has given McParland's side the experience they need to improve on last term's 21st place.

Not a bad little signing that. Our defensive record last year was 6th best in the league, but the lack of goals cancelled that out.Lets hope Forrester can chip in to rectify that. :)

Bloody hell, ex Rovers :D :D

I quite liked him Ian, was fast and has always known how to score (except when he was with us  ), he wasn't given a fair crack down here IMO though

Hope he does well for you :)

He's always seemed like a good L2 player. Hopefully he will do well for you!

I noticed the other day Ian that County had the 8th biggest attendances in L2 last season, very good considering your poor league position.
