I know these are keenly awaited by everyone, so here goes.

Oxford finished with 9 wins out of 11 last season. Spurred on by this fabulous record we have since dismantled our winning team and currently do not have enough players on the books to field an XI of any description.

On-loan striker Matt Green has chosen Torquay over Oxford for next season. Yes, Torquay.

We still do not own our stadium, and are still paying £400k per annum in rent and service charges, leading to increasing debt.

Our owners (principally Ian Lenegan of Wigan Warriors fame - the so-called chairman, Nick Merry, doesn't have two beans) have agreed to underwrite rising debts until we do own the stadium, after which time we will be expected to become profitable, saving the £400k per annum and, presumably, renting out our function rooms to North Oxford WI and the like.

Still, on a positive note, at least season tickets are selling well and, errr, that's about it.

We do - well, it's seven years old now - but it's still owned by our ex-Chairman, the evil, child-snatching Firoz Kassam, and he's demanding £13 million for it.

£13m sounds reasonable though isnt it?

I know our 25,000 seater and complex supposedly cost £30m back in 1995...

You would have thought so, wqouldn't you? Especially somewhere like Oxford where land is expensive. But apparently the new owners feel it's over-priced by £2 million or so and are not prepared to pay this much in "goodwill".

My view is to find the money now if at all possible - £400k per year will soon eat up the difference if we continue renting.

Hard to say how much the value is without knowing too much about it. I hope it gets resolved soon though..

*HOT OFF THE PRESS*

The Conference have lifted the wage cap, whereby clubs are restricted to spending a certain percentage of their turnover on players' wages and signing on fees.

This means that clubs with deep pockets can now splash as much cash as they want. This might explain why Oxford have held off making "easy" signings and are, apparently, targeting several league players.

B)

This does assume, however, that our owners are willing to drag the club into further debt in the hope of a quick return to the promised land.

Hmm...could be dodgy, could be good. I suppose you will have to wait and see. Or the Oxford board have said the whole "targeting league players" thing so that season tickets sell well...

keep positive. Despite all their problems Oxford are currently 16th in the BSP Premier league

Thats pretty respectable. A couple of wins and you'll be knocking on the door of the Play Offs

Hmmm .... my natural defensive attitude towards all things OUFC is severely tested by your cynical, yet probably accurate, comment.

We started last year 16th as well! If only Altrincham and a few more could go into administration to be replaced by Zanzibar Rovers and Yak Shit United we'd storm this league ....

I've heard that Xylophone Academicals have applied to join the BSP so that should help things further

I'm concedrned about Stockports step up to League 1. We're currently 20th, just one place above the drop zone with only 46 games to get out of trouble.

Oh dear! :( Very difficult to get promoted from that position. Best you can hope for is a consolidation season at the end of which lots of teams starting with "T" get promoted and relegated.

Indeed :(

Although its not all doom and gloom as I think the on going credit crunch in Yorkshire will mean that Wolverhampton are soon demoted 21 places.

The strength of the Dorset Franc could have the opposite effect on Torkee Utd. Current estimatrions suggest that Torkee will start next season in 23rd place in League 1

Why would acredit crunch in Yorkshire affect Wolves?
