Kody knelt on the edge of the roof, his body hunched over. The bright moonlight reflected on his bare back, the sweat glistening. His skin had been screaming to feel the moon, but Kody had been resisting it for too long. He ran when he wanted to, not when the moon called. And running alone...well, that would never happen again. A wave of pain ran down his spine, and the bones pushed against his flesh. They wanted out of the human form, but Kody wasn't ready yet. So he howled, a howl of pain and anger. Ever sine becoming a werewolf, Kody fought against these forced changes. He didn't want to be like the other wolves, slaves to the moon. He wanted to be free in his own life. Another howl, this one louder. His spine was now a full arch, but he didn't give in. Even though his head ached with a chorus of pounding drums, he didn't give in. His claws grew out, and he dug them into the shingles. Panting and heaving, Kody kept fighting. He wasn't one of the strongest muscle man in the pack, but he had the will power. His strength of mind easly overpowered the larger wolves back home. But still, it wasn't enough to beat the moon's control. Not yet at least. Maybe tonight he would win. Then he could go inside, shower off the filth, and rest in the arms of the woman he loved. His howl turned into a human scream of agony. |

He had just returned from a hunt. He knew he shouldn't be hunting alone since the recent incident but he disregraded it. He heard the strangest screams come from the roof. Between wolf and human. His wolf form easily scaled the walls of the school to see Kody. He looked like he was fighting his wolf form and fighting hard. He looks up at the sky at the full moon then looks at Kody. So he's a werewolf. Not knowing what to do he sat quietly hoping Kody would win his war. Luckily he was a lycan so the moon had no effect but he still sang to the moon as all wolves did |

Marianna's ears immediately picked up on Kody's howling, and as quick as her bare feet could take her she ran towards her lover. Finally reaching the rooftop, she stopped upon seeing Maru but for now she just gave him a nod before jumping up and landing gracefully on her feet not to far from Kody. Her eyes filled with pain seeing him fight against his change, and knew that he needed some help, but at the same time she knew it would only get harder "Kody...." She started to say softly, slowly moving closer to him |

"Ma...Maru? Mari?" Kody struggled to speak as his throat was in the middle of changing. He could clearly see the two on the roof, obviously brought there by his screams. "K...C-careful..." he told them before letting out a howl. Kody had to undergo this change tonight, and he knew it. He just didn't want to. He knew that werewolves lacked control only during this time, but Kody was not one to let some outside force control his life. Kody cursed and spit as his shoulders began to convulse. His body was an awkward mess of half human and wolf. His face was still human, if you disregarded the mass of fangs and rugged hair. His arms were bulkier now, and the claws were fully transformed. His back was in an arch, with lines of fur protruding through the rips of his clothes. His legs however were fully wolf, complete with a tail. Kody looked over at Marianna with sad eyes and whimpered at her painfully. The feeling of his bones and organs being ripped apart and reassembled hurt him so much. The pain was always worse on a full moon since his mind did not control the transformation as it could any other day. |

He wasn't even sure that his presence was even helping but he wanted to help Kody since he was a wolf too but being just a pup still he wasn't sure how. He sat watching Kody twist and turn. It looked painful. He whimpers in helplessness |

Marianna tilted her head at him, and continued to move closer until she was in arm's reach of him. She locked eyes with him and saw the pain he was in, and frowned gently "Kody...." She whispered and let her hand touch his shoulder, sending a calming wave throughout his body "It's okay....let go..." She knew it was painful, but the more he fought against it the more pain he would be in and she didn't want to see him in pain...not like this |

Kody opened his mouth. He wanted to tell Marianna and Mare to remain in wolf form. Then he wouldn't attack them. But he could no longer speak, just howl. In a ear shattering scream, Kody became the beast. The great black rose up and lifted its head. It howled out before dropping down on all fours. The creature's beady eyes looked over Maru and Marianna. It's lips curled in a light snarl. The dormant beast in Kody's heart was in control now. It could use him until the setting of the moon. |

He looks at the form Kody had turned into and watched as it snarled at him. He braced himself for a fight to protect Marianna on Kody's behalf. He knew he wouldn't be much since he was still a pup but he would sacrifice himself so when Kody turned back he would be happy to see the face of the one he loved. He stands in front of Marianna 'I know you may not need this since your an ancient and all but for Kody just let me do this please' |

Fool. The telepathic message echoed into their minds.In his normal form, Kody had an untapped psychic power, but it only deeply showed itself as a wolf. He never knew how to use it. You challenge me? The wolf did not know what Maru was doing. All it saw was another wolf ready to fight. |

He looks at Kody's form. It sent a chill down his spine. He shakes it off and stares Kody down then he turns to Marianna 'Get out of here. i promise I won't hurt him but for now just stay out of the way. Kody would be happier seeing you unharmed when he turns back' |

Don't touch her! Some bit of Kody struggled to come out her, but became meddled with the wolf's senses. Turning it's eyes on Marianna, the beast recognized her as its mate. Now on all fours, it began to pace in front of Maru. All the creature saw was another male wolf with its mate, issuing a challenge. Deep down, Kody's true mind was trying to veer away the beast's anger. |

He stands prepared for anything the wolf would throw at him knowing he didn't have much of a chance at winning. He hoped Kody would be thankful later and he'd heal quickly anyway |
