I'm with the band Posts: 2,662 Group: Admin Member #1 Joined: May 24, 2008	Just curious which DD songs you good Duranies and bad Duranies like best? As I've said I'm a pretty bad Duranie, nah I'm not really a Duranie at all, I don't follow band news for shit. Thank God I went to see them this year. But my faves are.... Their first two albums, I think they're brilliant. Planet Earth, Sound of Thunder and Friends of Mine Careless Memories (live) Entire Rio album soooo good, lurve it to bits. NR, HBTR, LCOTS, awesome. New Moon on Monday Skin Trade Wild Boys (live) Notorious (live) Be My Icon Falling Down and that's pretty much it except I'm one of the only people who likes the Thank You album. I pretty much like it all except erm the one song written by them.

Last Chance on the Stairway Electric Barbarella Midnight Sun Palomino Skin Divers The Valley the Chauffer Planet Earth Careless Memories Serious Save a Prayer New Moon on Monday (love the dancing at the end of the video ) Lonely in Your Nightmare (i was in front of Simon at the fan show when he forgot the words and he looked at us and said "what's next" :lol: ) That's what I can think of off the top of my head...I do love most of their songs. I just wish they'd mix up their set list a bit more.

I love some albums more than others, but there are always at least a couple of songs on each that I love. I like the Thank You album too. And I really love RCM, I know duranies are divided on that one. And I like alot of demos, like Salt in the Rainbow, that should have made the Astronaut album. Beautiful Colours (WHY WASN'T this released??!!! ) Lonely In Your Nightmare Sound of Thunder Chains Lay Lady Lay Virus (again, WHY wasn't this released ?!) The 7th Stranger Skin Trade (Ryan and I were just talking about the trumpet in this song :lol: !) Planet Earth, Live Serious oops! I mean Sirius, HAHA! Tiger, Tiger Pretty much all of 7&TRT I know I'm forgetting some !

I know there's not too many who really like it but it has some of my most favorite songs. I've also really been listening to Big Thing a lot lately. I don't think I fully appreciated it when it was first released. I'll try to list my faves, but I have so many. the entire Rio album - I love every song! Lay Lady Lay Violence of Summer Red Carpet Massacre Careless Memories UMF Tempted The Valley Perfect Day Mars meets Venus Someone else not me matter of Feeling Sound Of Thunder Friends of Mine Late Bar Come up and see me (make me smile) Come undone Out of my mind Success Box full of Honey and when I see them live I LOVELOVELOVE "I don't want your love" cuz of Roger' drums at the beginning.

I know for me when I listen to a fave band it depends on my mood which album I reach for.... We should list moods with songs....that would be a new concept. I know with YV I do the same. Some days I can't get enough of IMH....then the next, TT....then S....and at the end of the day, STLSTH.....etc......etc.... On the topic of Thank You....phew....there was so much turmoil surrounding that one(with the band). I have to say Perfect Day slayed me.....and Lay Lady Lay. I believe Lou Reed said he couldn't believe how they changed the entire feel of the song from junkies getting high to taking your child to the park....and he loved it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QYEC4TZsy-Y vs http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rf3C6rLwK0Y The critics ripped them a new one but the musicians gave them props. And Julie?....are you talking about "Drive By"? the sequel to the Chauffeur? as the one you don't care for? And if anyone has the Singles....check out their version of Needle and the Damage Done. rock star Posts: 264 Group: Members Member #129 Joined: August 22, 2008	I agree with Amber, it's a hard question but I'd have to say my top 3 favorites are New Religion, Careless Memories and The Chauffeur... classic DD. I'm stoked to see The Chauffeur on the set-list for the South American tour - hope it carries over to the North American tour in December!!! I so wanna hear one of those 3 songs live. There are tons of other great songs of theirs too... it is really hard to pick favorites.

Ah! The whole discography except for most of Liberty and some of Big Thing.
