Wow, that is insanely hot. That card shouldn't get much over 85c. If it does, you need a better cooling system. That card might actually melt at that temp lol. If not it, it might melt other things around it. My 8800GTX is idle at 50c right now and probably wont go past 75c in a torture test let alone playing that game. My case is entirely air cooled, no water cooling. I would really suggest getting more air flow in your computer. Are there open slots to add more fans? If there is, that might help a little, but it also depends on how jumbled up everything is inside the case. If there are a ton of wires everywhere, that is cutting down on your air flow as well. You could get some zip ties and bunch up some of the wires to help with that. If all of that doesn't help, I would think about getting a new case with better air flow to it. On another note, does the fan actually work on the card? Turn your computer on and make sure the fan on the card is spinning. If not, you may need a new card. You might also want to get a can of compressed air and dust it off as well. All of that may not even be enough, that is an insanely hot temperature. Hopefully it will help some though. Anything above 85c is getting much to hot. |
