It is supose to be very close in power to the 8800 GTX for way less of a price. I really wouldn't suggest an 8800 GTX now because Nvidia is suppose to be releasing the 9000 series pretty soon and that card will be out dated. If you must have one now, I would suggest the 8800 GTS so you don't spend as much money to be outdated so soon. I am not sure exactly when the 9000 series is suppose to come out, but I would think it will be Q2 of 2008 or so. I don't know anything about Radeon myself, always just stuck with Nvidia because they have always worked for me.
