my brother said it's a softer form of German, so would it be like 'ick bin drei fir finf zex zibn ackt nein tzen'?

With so many languages out there, everything sounds similar: Korean Chinese and Japanese, Yiddish, German and Dutch, Hebrew and Arabic...

Well it's a little bit different from german. it goes like this (hope i can explain it right) 1 = een, 2 = twee, 3 = drie, 4 = vier, 5 = vijf, 6 = zes, 7 = zeven, 8 = acht, 9 = negen and last buut not least 10 = tien.

If you want i can try to explain how to prenounce it.

Scheisse, danke and aus are the words.
Germans speak more straight forward according to how they write, but dutch speak with a weird pronounciation of some letters. Dunno if that helps.

Btw, for similar languages you should check out norwegian, danish and swedish.
