They should be allowed to do whatever the hell they want. It's their life, and it's not like it's doing anything negative for the world in any way. People who think that they are choosing to be homosexual are sadly mistaken. They are BORN that way. People who are disgusted by this really need to think about it more closely. |

I agree with Franky. A person's life is their own business and they have every right to "choose" what they want to do with their lives. For other people to dictate other people's lives is completely insane and selfish. 'nuff sed |

Who are you to define what is natural? Also, I don't think that they are setting a bad example, unless homosexuality is innately bad, right? I mean, I agree with tsukinohikari in that, attacking the lifestyle of someone who is not hurting anyone is wrong. Plus, imagine someone asking you to marry someone of the same sex. Wouldn't that be horrible for us heteros? What we are asking of them is equally disgusting in their eyes. Either way, I support same sex marriage. On a lighter note, it isn't as if we need a larger population, lol. No, that is not the reason I support it, haha. ~DeSi |

What do u mean humans are not homosexuals when they're born? Don't you mean that MOST humans aren't homosexuals when they're born? The rest are just different, but it doesn't mean it isn't natural. Being homosexual is genetic, not a choice, so we have no right to treat them differently or to stop them from doing what they want to do. Would you like it if someone made you marry a guy, Arya? You like girls right? Well, this is the same world gays live in with the way we are treating them. |

First of all no one is forcing homosexuals to marry the opposite sex, they just dont allow them to marry the same sex. People believe that marriage is defined as something that exists between a man and a woman. Regardless of whether they are married or not, homosexuals will lead the same lifestyle. Having a paper stating that they are married doesnt change anything. As long as it doesnt have a negative effect on anyone, than I for one do not care if they are able to recieve this paper. |

well i saw someone that gay in my country that can fight his gayness and back to normal life, he realized that he can do that so if he can, then the others can do that too XD and yeah i love girls XD |

That is ridiculous. Either he wasn't gay in the first place or he is repressing himself. You can't fight off being gay, haha. Good one arya. Anyways, Demi, having that "piece of paper" actually allows for significant government related tax deductions, so it is kind of unfair to not award these to people who live the same lives as married people. |

People are, in my opinion, born gay. Arya, your friend is either not gay, or is denying who he is just to fit in. People will do crazy things to be accepted by the masses. Anyway, as for gay marriage, I agree with Robin, Killer, and Desi on this one. It is their life, let them live it. People should be able to live their lives how they wish as long as it doesn't harm anyone else. This is actually written in the Constitution if you happen to live in America. You would think our country would at least follow its own standards, but oh well. Now to say it is against nature is actually false. There are animals that are gay out there. If nature itself can be gay, how is it unnatural to be gay? I actually watched a documentary on gay animals once. So it basically proves that being gay is not just something humans alone do. (Yeah it was kind of a strange thing to see on TV.) So to end my way to long argument, I hope to see some time gay people being socially accepted. We have made a start with people of other races and religions. We have also progressed with women's rights. Do I think we are completely there yet? No, we still have a lot of work to do. Still, I hope I live to see that day that we accept people for who they are instead of what the majority think is "right". |
