In my opinion SLI (two graphics cards working together) is a waste of money. Will you get more performance? Yes. Is it enough to make it worth it? Not if you ask me. Many games don't support SLI and you will get no benefit from it at all. When it does support it, it is only a minor upgrade not worth $600-$800. I say save your money for the 9000 series and get their new card when it hits the market, or a little later to make sure it is stable with drivers and such. So if you have money to burn, be my guest, just know the 9000 series is around the corner and if you wanna SLI anything, it should be that.

It doesn't have the absolute newest stuff, but it is pretty must as good as it gets right now. If you were to wait for the 9000 series, you would just have to replace your 8800 GTX. Everything else would still be fine to keep. That is the down side to computers, once you get every up to date part it is only a matter of time until it is obsolete heh. You will still be able to play most games that come out for the next year or so at max graphics or very close to that with your current set up. The 9000 series is just if you are like me and must have the best of the best in graphics right away and have the money to spend on it. With an upgrade every now and then to your system, it should last you about 2-3 years or more before you have to replace the mother board to get a new processor and all that.
