 Yeah; colour doesn't fit in with a black/navy/grey background. I too think the second is better - although you could make one with a different background (let's say, in the daytime) and then colour would be ok.

 those are nice, i like the way u used that brush. i hate that one i only use it for fire.

and yes, second one is better. its because since they're shadows theres no need to look at the details but the first one has details, but the figures are small so they are hard to see.
