Please note I'm just stating my views on remakes of First Fear and Clock Tower USA. I'm not big on discussing 3, though I enjoyed the game greatly, and I don't really know what to think of a Clock Tower 4 since there's hardly a lick of proof their even doing it or what it's going to be about. On to my rambling. Well it would all depend on the console used. Let us pick the X-Box 360, the Nintendo Wii, and the PS2 (I wish not to count the PS3 cause if it was on it, sales would be worse due to few people buying PS3s) Let us say Nintendo worked with Clock Tower again, picking up from where they left off on the SNES. The Wii could be great for remakes of the first two. Used to point and click on the screen, able to twist the remote and what not for fast movements if Scissorman JUMPS at you and is just a inch from you (dispite being gimp in the squeal, that is still bad at times) It would be great for running and could keep the point and click style of the old ones. Bad thing is, Nintendo does not have a big reputation for gore games. They have Resident Evil and such but something like this might not go well. However, I think they could pull it off, do the remakes, add blood splatter and more (look at their FMV in games, just beautiful) and they have many great artist working for them. This is my thoughts, I try not to let my Nintendo fan side control my rational thinking on this subject. Next, X-Box 360. Look at the graphics put to their full strength. Image the graphics. Details, the mansion inside of the first one... The chase with Dan (Too scary if he were made to look really realistic!) However it would probably lose it's point and click fun and you would just say make your character move about freely and get close and press A or something. That would take away but at the same thing it would add intrest if you could control where ever she went (like how Jessica would walk into the background to do something) I believe it being on the the 360 would be both great for looks and style but bad if you enjoy point and click. And 360 tends to show alot of blood in their games. Censors wouldn't bother them much, meaning that there would probably be alot more blood shed with redos and making things more intresting without bothering the story much at all. As for you bringing up the PS3, I must dissapprove of that but that's me and I will over look that but discuss the Sony console PS2 instead so my discomfort of the PS3 does not sway my thoughts on Clock Tower going to it if it does. The PS2 still makes a few games, infact a few good many are scheduled to come out still. The graphics are nice and I believe they rival that of the X-Box (old one) however like the 360 they would probably take away the point and click of the old ones. However, Sony would probably redo alot of things ranging from character design, story and more. However any of the gaming companys risk doing that, I still think Sony would probably redo alot of stuff. Sony is on the same grounds as the 360, though the 360 would be better graphics wise if they used that to it's full power. However I doubt if they did a remake they'd be doing PS2 games anymore and they'd put it on the PS3 and I would never be able to play it (I'm poor! I can't afford a console like that and then buy a 60$ game!) For the remakes, it would all depend on console. If they did remakes, which I dunno how they would since I think HUMAN is no more and I'm not sure who owns the rights to the first two games, it was all lie on the console it's released to. The Wii or 360 would probably be best though since so many people have both or one of them and they tend to advertise their games alot more. End rambling. |
