The funny thing, Yû is pronounced as "you" and Shô is pronounced as "show". ^^;; At least that is what I heard them pronouncing it whenever I play Clock Tower Ghost Head.

But yeah, it sounds funny whenever I tell someone "I love Yû!" and they give me a weird look afterward. So I usually go by their American names whenever I talk to someone who is unfamiliar with their Japanese names.

Now I badly want to say something equally lame like "Let me Shô Yû something!" *BRICKED*
Yeah, you're right, they are pronounced like "you" and "show" but with VERY VERY minor differences. It's more like trying to say "you" and "show" without pronouncing the "w" sounds at the end. It's hard to explain but it's close enough to where I just say it sounds like "you" and "show", but one time this nitpicky person caught me and said "They don't sound like that, it's Japanese!!!" XD;;; So I try to be careful with what I say

HAHAHA @ "let me Sho Yu something". Clever. XD (There was also a Yuu in Fatal Frame 3 if you've ever played it but of course he doesn't have an American name . . so much confusion ensued x__x)
