OK, this question has been on my mind a lot recently... o_o I just really wanna know. A little while ago, I read something on the internet (gleaned from a Google search, though I lost the link), that the two PS1 Clock Tower games were banned over here, although it was quite ambiguously-written. I checked the Wikipedia list of banned games in the UK. It isn't there. However, I have my own theories. CT USA and CT GH were released in... 1997 and 1999 respectively. And due to my Key Skills project on violence in the media, I have a feeling that due to a lot of coverage on violent videogames during the late 1990s, no publisher wanted to have the media on their backs (you could argue that it was free advertising, but still, it wasn't good publicity), so lots of violent games may not have been released over here. o_o And you could say that the two CT Playstation 1 games were examples of 'violent games'. But then again, this is just a theory, and not a true fact. So, is there any real reason, or could it just be that no-one wanted to publish it in the late 1990s?
