So, what scare(s) got to you the most in this game and possibly made you afraid to go to sleep at night? For me, it was when I looked at that damn table in that lounging area on the first floor of the Barrows Castle. As soon as I looked, Scissorman comes down the chimney and out of the fireplace to give me chase. Another one is inspecting that painting in the second floor lounging room in the Barrows Castle. Oh God! I was having Scissorman nightmares for weeks... |

I think it was the rare scene where Scissorman is just standing in the library aquarium when you turn on the light. I had played through the game quite a few times and had never seen it, so it was one heck of a surprise! |

I forgot all about that one, Man, I hate that scare sooooo much because you know he's there. I mean, come on you can see him from behind aquarium easily. Yet you can't do a damn thing about it and must get it over with, dreading what is to happen. It's scary in the fact you know it's going to happen yet you can't prevent it. Ugh. Did I mention I hate it? :P |

That's a reason I like to save before entering the Collection Room. Let's see here... once it was a random encounter in the Barrows/Burroghs Castle, and I turned to run away (he wasn't actually in the room, but the music had started.) I run into the hall, BAM! There he is. Panic button for the win. The time I went in the storeroom as Helen to escape and he was behind the boxes was bad. The Library after Edward had hidden (but before he left). I thought that meant Scissorman wouldn't appear. I looked at the clerk to see what Helen would say and BAM! Time to run. The time I was running from him as Nolan into the kitchen and he climbs out of the pantry. That was more 'WTF?' than scary, but still. |

I remember being really freaked out when I saw Scissor Man from beyond the aquarium in the Collection Room at the Library. But since I can see him through the aquarium in the foreground, it was also funny because he tries so hard to blend. So I usually just turn back and come back until he was gone. ^^;; I think the worst scare for me in the game was the part in which you had to evade from Scissor Man in Rick's House. And when you hide in the bathroom, that place gets me every time because I at first didn't expect him to jump through and stab me! >.< I was like, "OMFG!" But yeah, it didn't give me nightmares, but boy I hated to go there. |

Hehe, you guys have already talked about two of my worst scares.
XD; The other is when you go out onto the balcony on the second floor as Jennifer, and Scissorman jumps out from the ceiling (?) after you click on the locked door. They get me every time! |

The one where he jumps out of the painting is the one that really got to me. I never saw it coming. 0_o |

Once I tried to take the note out of the fireplace without my flashlight. I never, ever did it again. Another thing that got me: this only happened once and I've never been able to do it again, but I examined the statue in the chapel and Scissorman crawled out of it. And the way he was moving was just icky. Perhaps it's only happened once because I've so rarely had the courage to examine it since then...
I'll nth that scene, too. |

Ahahaha, yeah. I almost forgot about that one! I wonder what kills ya in the fireplace, though? Did Scissorman get up in the chinmey like he did in the lounge fireplace? XD; As for the statue thing...?! WTF? I'll have to try that the next time I play. |

It's the statue of Mary in the room with all the robes. I wish I could remember exactly what I'd done, but I know I was Helen when it happened. |

Hmm, I've check that statue before with both Helen and Jennifer, yet nothing ever happened. O_o Hmm. Oh, yeah! Another scare of mine is when Scissorman jumps off of the stairs when you go into the hallway in Rick's house. Yikes! |

Oh, my goodness, yes. Did not see that coming; someone always trips while being pursued by the killer, but how often is that someone the toughguy hero (I was Gotts)?
You know, I tried to get it again, checked the statue as Helen about a billion times yesterday, and the most I could do was get Scissorman to crawl out from the robes behind me. I wonder if there's some kinda trick to it. BTW, finding Rose... or what's left of her. I love the way that scene is presented. Bayker's door-to-door work is pretty cool, too. |

That damn painting! Argh! I was totally calm and used to the game at that point and wasn't jumping when Scissorman started appearing until...BAM! Jumps through the painting! |

That one at Rick's house scared the hell out of me. Not as much as the painting though. |

Same here. o_o;; I'll have to try it again. Who else jumps every time Scissorman jumps from behind the shelf in the wine cellar? That one gets me, too. |
