Sorry, I deleted my old post about it, but I am reposting a new one with a couple of suggestions and comments that I would love to hear from the members here to make this place more enjoyable for everyone! ^^;; Here are some I can think of on top of my head right now: 1.) Should I take down The Hamilton Lodge [Roleplaying] section since there are zero activity in there? 2.) Should I change The Hamilton Lodge to a place to post forum games such as "Three Word Story", "A VS. B", "Trivia", "Ask A Stupid Question, Get A Stupid Answer", and of the like? 3.) Do this place need a chatroom feature? I am personally not fond of chat boxes or rooms for a forum because it detracts from actual posts. 4.) Spoilers tag, is it really necessary? I can see it being very useful in case another Clock Tower game coming out, but as of now, would it be a lost cause? 5.) Any other sections you see would seem necessary in this forum? Please be descriptive as to the purpose of this section. I am hearing you guys out, so let me know your feelings! |

IMO... 1) It's up to you on what to do with the RP section. Personaly, I still don't understand how role playing works on a message board (but then again, it's just me). 3) While chat boxes or chat rooms may distract from posts, there is something to being able to "hang out" and interact with people realtime, regardless of topic. Who knows, it could be something of a meeting place for quick questions and having fun with serious post being made in the message board for verious pices of news or articals of interest. 4) While this may be a lost cause to some, I'm sure a spoiler tag would be helpful... that is, if they are even used. While you may end up using it for something CT related, they could also be used for other subjects in the off topic area. After all, it would really suck if I got ahold of the 4th Phoenix Wright game and announced [OBJECTION] killed [HOLD IT!] because *gets shot* |

Except that it's not done in real time like a chatroom, so it's more closer to the RP style of LiveJournal where you can create your own RP account and give it an icon. But you can have six icons for the "expression" of your character, whereelse in a message board, you're only limited to one icon. there is something to being able to "hang out" and interact with people realtime Good idea, I might setup weekly chatrooms so we all can get to know each other better. =) Except I now have to figure out a good and simple chatroom that is easy for everyone to use... If anyone knows of any good chatrooms, let me know! I'm sure a spoiler tag would be helpful... that is, if they are even used. Yeah, I'm thinking outside the box and it would be nice for the spoilers tag to be used for like talking about movies or other video games where people may not want to be spoiled about. But as of now, I can't find a good working tag. [The other tag makes me unable to view the "Show detailed list by: Last Click, Member Name" option. But I am keeping an eye out for major spoilers and will fix them so that no one would have their experience ruined because of a slip-up. |

Chances are you have more experience in this field [RPs] than I would. I only dabbled a little bit with each type of RP, but I am most comfortable with chatroom and LJ roleplaying. Though I haven't actually done a serious RP in a while, since the last one I have been with was a huge drama zone. IRC may be useable for this. I have no idea how to setup an IRC channel and everything else associating with that. But I do agree that is the best way to setup a weekly chatroom. |

There has been a suggestion by phobos via PM about creating a Media section for my forums for contents such as artwork, music, fiction, and etc. I have no objections to such a section being made and I will be making one by the time I come back. But I would like to address that with the image content is getting to the point where it's stretching out the forums sometimes. ^^;; If it's possible for you to provide links or thumbnails for any large images, it'll be greatly appreciated!! Just make sure that your images are no longer than 800 in width! |

I am in the process of thinking about it. But there are things that I would like to cover for the guidelines of the Media section, namely one such as the images themselves. I would really like the members to use links and thumbnails for their art, a warning about anything adult in nature such as a "NSFW" warning, and other similar stuff. It would really help out those wanting to promote their mediums. If you have the guidelines written out, I am interested in hearing about them! |

In the CT:First Fear section, you could make a sticky about ZSNES Online Sessions with other forum members?~ :0 Maybe. The cool thing about ZSNES is that it has a feature that enables multiplayer, no matter where the other person is playing from, and you could play CT while another person watches you / take turns playing / advise them where to go- I've done it before with another person, and it's extremely fun. =) Not sure if your forum is in need of that ATM, but it'd be a neat idea?~ :D |

I like that idea, Lexy, and I think it would be nice for people to have online sessions of CT-TFF. Who knows, maybe some people would like to participate in them. ^^;; IF you're willing to start the topic, then by all means! |

That'll be great, I'll check it out whenever because I'm about to head off for the night... er, morning? [Wow, 5 A.M. here now!] So I'll be reading about it soon!! Also be sure to describe about Netplay because sometimes I have a problem with connecting. Also I could never figure out how to type while playing. ^^;; So I bet others would like to know too. Not to mention I would love to participate with others so they can relive the original experience! While on the topic about improving my forums. How do you people like the idea of Contests? I do have some in mind, but I don't know what to give off as prizes. I've seen other forums using an increase in post count, such as first place winner gets 100 posts added to their current post count. Which does nothing for me due to the fact that I don't have a Forum Store much less know how to work one. =( And I definitely don't have the money or goods to give away. But I would love to see some interactions here, so let me know what you guys have to say about it. |
