I would like to try out!

- How did you find this forum?: I found this forum on DCJ.

- Why do you want to be a Mod?: I would like to become a mod because I really love this forum, and I would like to keep it a fun place for Clock Tower fans to hang out.

- Do you have any previous modding experience?: Yes, I have. I've even run my own forums before.

- How often do you visit this forum?: I try to visit the forum every day.

- Do you read every section in this forum? Or only those pertaining to your interests?: I read every section of the forum.

- If you were a Mod, what do you do if you see a member breaking one of my rules? How would you handle them?: If you were on, I would tell you about it to ask you what I should do. If you were not on, however, I would edit the message, then PM the member about it, asking them to stop. If the member repeated the offense, I would then give them a warning.

Just in case you think I'm worth the stuff and junk...

[BUGASHI'S APPLICATION FOR MODERATOR]

- How did you find this forum?

Long ago I visited DCJ and thought I'd go ahead and sign up in order to post some things here and stuff.

- Why do you want to be a Mod?

It doesn't really matter if I'm a mod or not, I'll still be able to post things in which I think ether relates to the topic, or may be of interest to others here at DCJ. At the moment it doesn't really seem like we need much for moderation, though this may change when more people join.

- Do you have any previous modding experience?

Not really, I've mostly tend to make posts of various quality.

- How often do you visit this forum?

There was a period when I didn't bother to come by much, which was due to low activity, though I would check back every once and a while for any updates. With the rescent increased activity, I have been coming just about every time I'm on the net.

- Do you read every section in this forum? Or only those pertaining to your interests?

I tend to read various sections and comment on the ones to which I think I may know something of.

- If you were a Mod, what do you do if you see a member breaking one of my rules? How would you handle them?

It would mostly depend on a few factors, such as importance of rule, number of violations made by given member, as well as the total level of the violation. For small things, I may serve warnings then possible editing. However, if the offence is great or happens too much, I will delete after sending a final warning. I am willing to talk to the violator about the issue, but I'm not much for stupidity when one already knows. This isn't 4chan, and I have no love for /b/tards (random is ok, but flat out stupid crap isn't).

Well, there it is, on file just in case you think I may be up to standards in being a moderator.

Don't do the above

I'll just stick mine out there.

[GSR's application for Moderator]

- How did you find this forum?

Actually... I can't remember. XD I think maybe I got linked here on the GFAQs Clock Tower Boards.

- Why do you want to be a Mod?

Why not? Just kiddin. Anyways, I like to be able to help out a forum by way of modship, and I also like being able to clean up any sudden messes on the forum (read: spambots and porn spamming, both of which I have had the unfun task of cleaning up) without having to wait for a mod.

- Do you have any previous modding experience?

Yes. I was a mod for over a year at a small forum known as RPG Etc. I also acted as administrator for the forum most of us moved to later. In addition, I was an administrator of Custom Wars (www.customwars.com) for a few months. I also ran two small RP sites.

- How often do you visit this forum?

I didn't visit that often, but now the place has suddenly picked up, so I'll be coming around more often, probably at least once a day.

- Do you read every section in this forum? Or only those pertaining to your interests?

Some of them, like discussion on CT3, I mostly ignore due to the fact I can't really talk about it, seeing as I've never played, but the others I visit.

- If you were a Mod, what do you do if you see a member breaking one of my rules? How would you handle them?

Depends on the offense. If it's something really minor like getting off-topic, I'll just give a reminder to get back on, but if someone starts flaming or spamming, I'll give them some warnings to knock it off. Worst comes to worst, a small (1-2 day) ban for them to cool off.

Well, I think that's all. Again, just putting this here for the record.

Might as well...

- How did you find this forum?

By looking up Clock Tower The First Fear on the web.

- Why do you want to be a Mod?

To help out the forum when the administrator needs a break.

- Do you have any previous modding experience?

No I don't, but I think I would be capable to perform.

- How often do you visit this forum?

Everyday.

- Do you read every section in this forum? Or only those pertaining to your interests?

I read every section, but I'm mostly interested in Clock Tower The First Fear beacause that's the only one I've played.

- If you were a Mod, what do you do if you see a member breaking one of my rules? How would you handle them?

I would try to handle it right away before the situation got out of hand. I would tell them to stop in a calm manner, but if it kept going on I would give them a warning. If it still didn't stop, I would have to threaten to ban them or say "You had your warning, that was your last chance."

- How did you find this forum?

I am a member on Broken Clock and I read the part about DCJ.

- Why do you want to be a Mod?

I would like to be a mod because Admins need breaks and I like correct spellings.

- Do you have any previous modding experience?

Yes, kind of, I am the admin of 6 websites.

- How often do you visit this forum?

As much as I can.

- Do you read every section in this forum? Or only those pertaining to your interests?

Every section.

- If you were a Mod, what do you do if you see a member breaking one of my rules? How would you handle them?

I would pm you and ask them to stop kindly. If again, I would give a warning. If still, a ban threat.

I'm sorry, but GSR and mrbates, you guys are not qualified for a Mod position because you don't have more than 50 posts as I've stated in the initial topic. But I will keep your applications here just in case if I am looking for one in the future! ^^;;

As of now, it may seem that I will appoint one person to become Moderator soon. So if you haven't posted an application, please do so now.

- How did you find this forum?
o A loooong, looong time ago... I used to visit the old DCJ (GameFAQs was how I found out), and when a new version of it was set up, I scrambled over here as soon as I found out.

- Why do you want to be a Mod?
o So that I can help stop disagreements from escalating into something really bad, and so I can help people enjoy this forum like woah. X3~ (Aren't I eloquent? Yeesh.)

- Do you have any previous modding experience?
o Yes. I've co-owned a few boards in the past, as well as a couple of my own. And though nothing's happened in it (luckily <3), I currently am the mod of the CYOA section.

- How often do you visit this forum?
o I try (and often succeed) to visit this forum everyday.

- Do you read every section in this forum? Or only those pertaining to your interests?
o I read every section that has snippy scissors by it (i.e. whereever there are new posts).

- If you were a Mod, what do you do if you see a member breaking one of my rules? How would you handle them?
o It would depend on the offense. If it was something minimal, I'd probably warn the offender(s) via PM to cut it out. If it was something offensive (like a picture, slur, or something else) I'd edit the post to cut it out and again, PM the offender. In any case, I'd see if you were on and talk to you about it... ESPECIALLY if it was something bad.

Sure, why not. :)

How did you find this forum?

I found this forum through the Don't Cry Jennifer website.

Why do you want to be a Mod?

So that I can make sure that there is order on this forum and make sure that there are no problems. Also, to make sure that everyone has a great time while they're here.

Do you have any modding experience?

I have little experience. Im currently a Mod at another forum under the Clock Tower section. I am also a Mod at another forum that has very little activity.

How often do you visit this forum?

I visit this forum everyday, or at least try to on days that I am busy or away from a computer.

Do you read every section in this forum? Or only those pertaining to your interests?

I look at every section in this forum. I also examine every new post.

If you were a Mod, what do you do if you see a memeber breaking one of my rules? How would you handle them?

If a member were to break one of the rules, I would remind them of the rule that they had broken. If the problem continues, I would warn him/her and ask nicely not to do it again. I would give them three warnings or less depending on the situation. I really don't want to ban people, but if they continue, I would be forced to ban them. If I am not sure on what to do in a certain situation, I would inform the Admin and ask him/her on what we should do about this problem.

How did you find this forum?

Wikipedia led me to DCJ, DCJ led me here.

Why do you want to be a Mod?
Short: Cuz its fun

Long: Because I like to help; it gives me joy! And I can be Obsessive Cumpulsice, so... I hate disarray. Once, I yelled at one of my friends for missing a calculus problem...

Do you have any modding experience?
Yes! I am mod on two sites, and admin on my own!
The aforementioned sites would be(I wont link, the owners don't want me to)

1. A fan site (Global Mod)
Keeping Fangirls in line is hard. I usually just have to break up arguments though.

2. A role playing site (Mod)
Much easier. Although, the site has been very disactive for a while. But I try and keep the retainers in line.

How often do you visit this forum?

Everyday, for at least an hour. I have no life that way.(also, there's this thing about my mom and me leaving the house, but that's neither here nor there.)

Do you read every section in this forum? Or only those pertaining to your interests?
Every section, though I don't post unless I know enough about the subject.

If you were a Mod, what do you do if you see a member breaking one of my rules? How would you handle them?

I use the "Three strikes" thing. Notice, warning, and action. The action depends on the offense, Vulgar content is a ban(EVENTUALLY. Unless its really bad.), while simpler offenses are about a week. (Like double posting. Every topic)

There it is, black and white.
Thank "Yu" Kaze!

I'm not sure, but I thought that the "[Status: Closed!]" part of the title meant that they were not looking for more applications. Mmm... I don't know though.

It was for reference. If someone is out I could fill in... or something.

Also, this told me too...

For people that don't know or already know, I have recently appointed The Lime to become a Moderator of my forum. She is doing a great job and I am happy to assign her as a Mod, but just to let people know. Since I have assigned a "Mod Activeness Post", so if the current Mods I have assigned have not responded to it. I will hire a replacement in their position because the most important part of a community is to have active members. Which means I might be looking for another Mod, so be sure to fill out my Mod Application if you haven't already! Remember that I do watch out for your activeness, behavior, and posts in the forum.

Not only that, but I have assigned Leaders. KazeTaco has been assigned Leader to "Create Your Own Adventure" as she is the one creating the CYOA for the members here; and also phobos has been assigned as Leader of the "Collection Room" for all your fan works needs, since he is a talented artist and thought of the idea. I do watch out for my Mods and Leaders are hope they are doing a great job and not abusing their powers. As of now, I think just 6 Moderators total is good enough for a forum consisting of nearly 50 members.

Also I have updated the Rules and Guidelines, so be sure to check them out in "Cradle Under The Star" and "Collection Room"; and in the "Burroughsclan's Castle" for the Mods!

So yeah. Thats the main reason.
Thank "Yu" Kaze!

Uh, yeah. When a thread says "closed!", it should mean "no posting." I think we have enough mods anyway; are you guys unhappy with how Bugashi and I are doing, or something?

I'm just going to close this thread. If Enig feels like we need a new mod, she can just open it back up.

Edit: Erm, opened it back up, as I just saw this sentence:

Currently, I am not looking for Mods, but please continue to fill out the application because when the time comes -- I will be reading through everyone's entries.

Right, then. Carry on.

Makerel!

Well, I was talking to Lime about this and figured I'd put it out there.

[APPLICATION FOR MODERATOR]

- How did you find this forum?
Through my Limey!

- Why do you want to be a Mod?
In all honesty to help out Enig and the mod team. As Lime's good friend I want to help her as much as I can. I feel I could be helpful to the mod squad with my experience and fairness.

- Do you have any previous modding experience?
Yes. I was a mod for 5 years at board.jp. I have recently given up my position due to site inactivity. (moderators out number the amount of regular members. yeah, not cool. Also, don't tell them this, but there was someone who was really starting to piss me off there, and I couldn't stand everyone's depressing attitudes.)

- How often do you visit this forum?
At least once a day. I say 2-5 times a day is most often.

- Do you read every section in this forum? Or only those pertaining to your interests?
For the most part every section. I skim each section for a topic that catches my eye and interest. 'Course I don't read EVERY thread, but as a mod I would.

- If you were a Mod, what do you do if you see a member breaking one of my rules? How would you handle them?
If it's a first time offense, a small warning. Second offense, a slightly bigger warning. Third offense, an in thread warning along with a pm threatening a temp ban. If the activity continues, temp ban will be followed out. (possibly 10 or so days, depending on the offense) if even after the ban they continue their behaviour, I would advise enig to perma ban. If someone continuously breaks the rules before I get a chance to give the first warning, the pm will be sent out first instead.
Also depends on the offense. Posting porn for instant = perma ban. (but that's kinda obvious)
Also I'd like to point out I can be a hardass when it comes to rule breakers. the first offense I tend to let it slide, the second I get a little testy, the third time I'm not so nice anymore. This is just part of my personal belief that if the niceness didn't get to them the first time, it won't the third and thus you gotta bare your fangs a little. Trolls don't have much tolerance of the rules so why should I have tolerance of them? :3
