As if we don't already have enough problems with me on this forum without: [XENOLORD'S APPLICATION FOR MODERATOR POSITION] Question Number One: How did you find this forum? Answer Number One: One of my close friends (OneDestiny) was curious about what was absorbing all of my time from beta reading her fanfictions, and when I said I was in the process of making a game, she had made the faithful comment "What is it, a Clock Tower remake?" I had then asked her "What's Clock Tower?" And she went into the whole explaining thing, and then pointed me to DCJ her "Favorite Site." Always the one with the infectious charm, I joined the forums. The rest, as they say, is history. Question Number Two: Why do you want to be a Mod (Moderator, I hope. I don't want to be a video game mod T_T.) Answer Number Two: I just like being able to do something if I see some (Que Music) Illicit behavior going on. I hate it when people have to be douchebags and ruin everyone's fun, and not be able to do anything about it, save tell a Mod, then it takes forever for them to get back to you, and by the time they do, the shit has already hit the fan, so to speak. Question Number Three: Do you have any previous Modding experience? Answer Number Three: Well, I did screw around with the Elder Scrolls Construction Set a few times and made some rather interesting... what? OH! Oh, MODERATING! Right, I got ya. Sorry. No, I've never moderated a forum before, but I do have some significate leadership skills, and I'm nice (Generally), so that's always a plus. *Muttering.* Gotta watch the wording on that... Question Number Four: How often do you visit the forums. Answer Number Four: I'll be honest. The DCJ forums are like... Forum'd cocaine. I'm on ten... twenty times a day either lurking, posting, PMing or doing a combination of the three. Question Number Five: Do you read every section on this forum? Or just ones pertaining to your interests? Answer Number Five: I'll be honest. I really tend to read ones that interest me, or if I have some experience in the subject matter *Which is why until I got CT3, I only posted in the TFF section, because that was the only game I had.* Doing this, I feel that it allows me to avoid the insuing embarrassment if I get something wrong. But, I feel if I was chosen as a moderator, I would find myself broadening my horizons a bit. Question Number Six: If you saw another member breaking one of my *Enigma* rules, how would you handle the situation? Answer Number Six: I think everyone's gonna answer this to the same effect, but I have a very strict policy: First Offense: PM Warning to stop behavior. Second Offense: Posted, public warning to stop. Third Offense: 3-day Temp-Ban and PM to Enigma to advise her of the situation. Fourth Offense: 10-day Temp-Ban and PM to Enigma to advise her of the situation's continuation. Fifth Offense: Ad Infinitum Temp-Ban and PM to Enigma to suggest Perma-Ban (aka DEAD END). Within said PM would include all measures I have taken thus far, and a detailed description of the offenses, as well as possible witnesses to support me. This builds for a more reasonable, understanding of the situation to help Enigma better make a descion Certain Offenses: I take a few things very seriously, and commiting any of the following will jump your hide right to the Third Offense stage: 1:Posting of pornography (If you like to watch it, heavens knows we all do, that's fine, but DCJ is not the place.) 2: Posting of racist, sexist, religious insults. (If I even SEE the N-word on your post, oh, are you in trouble. I take it very seriously.) Certain Offenses: I take a few other things VERY, VERY seriously, and commiting any of them will jump your hid right to Fifth Offense Stage: 1: Posting of Child Pronography. (You do this and the shit will hit the fan so fast, your brain won't even START to process it!) 2: Excessive use of racist, sexist, or religious insults. 3: Trolling, Bots, or any of those other Internet Nasties no one likes. 4: Trojans: If I discover something on my computer, and trace it back to this forum, I'll find the thread and the user and they'll be up shit creek with out a CANOE! Forget a paddle. Like Fushigi said, you can be nice all you want, but sometimes you just gotta bear your fangs a little, show some teeth. Like I said before, I'm nice, but I take things very seriously on some matters. Anyways, hope that's good enough. |

^ A bit off topic, but it's impossible to get a trojan on the forum unless you download an attachment.. and it would be impossible to trace it back unless you only downloaded ONE attachment. |

Because I want to help the forum - no matter how! - Do you have any previous modding experience? Nnnnope... But I know what a responsibleness a mod has to carry. - How often do you visit this forum? Everyday! Or at least every time I am on the PC. - Do you read every section in this forum? Or only those pertaining to your interests? To be honest, only those capturing my interest. But that can be every forum. - If you were a Mod, what do you do if you see a member breaking one of my rules? How would you handle them? First, I'd ask the member to stop and show him/her a piece of the rule-breaking post (with the rule-breaking part). I'll await a reply from him/her, too! If he/she read the PM, but doesn't reply, I'll send another one right after. If I sent a third PM, the fourth will contain the verbal warning for ignoring the mod. (Verbal warning will also occur after continous rule-breaking). After that the first strike, etc. I guess I won't do well as a mod... If that's the case, I think I'm gonna work on my CYOA... |

How would you handle them? -I ll use the rules.For example:Each crime has got own detention. Like someone using abusive language(i think nobody will do that in our forum)or putting +18 (p..n) pictures will banned directly.Spamming will be banned for 3 days then 6 days then for forever. But general crimes or not abusive crimes will be given a small warning then big warning then ban for 5-10 days.Then if he/she does it again forever ban!!! |

Well, I've mentioned interest before, if you ever need another mod, here's another application for you to ruffle through. [APPLICATION FOR MODERATOR] - How did you find this forum? Jeez, It's been a long time, I think I found it when I was getting into Clock tower though and kinda stumbled in, - Why do you want to be a Mod? I like helping out on forums I enjoy besically. - Do you have any previous modding experience? Yeah, a fair bit, I run my own forum and have worked as a mod several times - How often do you visit this forum? Recently it's been not often, but I'm coming around more now that I'm done with massage therapy school, so I'm back to at least once a day I'd say. - Do you read every section in this forum? Or only those pertaining to your interests? A bit of both, things have been slow here lately I've noticed, so there hasn't been much to read, but I'd say the only place without my little paws in it would be CT:2 the stuggle within because I don't own that game and know very little about it. - If you were a Mod, what do you do if you see a member breaking one of my rules? How would you handle them? That depends on several factors, the severity of the rule being broken, if the boss (I.E. you) was online to confer about it, if the member had a history of troublemaking in the past. Basically, Warning would always be my first choice with a report to the Admin of the behavior and if a offensive post was posted I'd take a screenshot as proof and then delete the post if no admin was present, if negative behavior continued, a temp ban of a week again dependant on severity, if the person didn't get it by then, I would motion for a permaban. Best I can tell you is that I'd check the forum rules and see what I should do about it. |
