DOLPHINATSU WILL KILL U!

I know we're all excited about a future Clock Tower. But what do you guys really prefer for this game to be? Do you want a brand new Clock Tower game totally different from the others with a new heroine fighting against the evil Burroughs? Or a sequel to Clock Tower 2 / USA where the Scissor Man comes back and causes mayhem against Jennifer, Helen, Nolan, and everyone. Or what about Clock Tower Ghost Head / II: The Struggle Within or Clock Tower 3, wouldn't it be cool to see their lives after their games ended? Or maybe a remake would make you happy! Wouldn't you love to see the first three installments all made in beautiful updated PS2 or PS3 graphics? Is that much better than a brand new game or sequel? So let us hear your opinions! ^^;; |

Please note I'm just stating my views on remakes of First Fear and Clock Tower USA. I'm not big on discussing 3, though I enjoyed the game greatly, and I don't really know what to think of a Clock Tower 4 since there's hardly a lick of proof their even doing it or what it's going to be about. On to my rambling. Well it would all depend on the console used. Let us pick the X-Box 360, the Nintendo Wii, and the PS2 (I wish not to count the PS3 cause if it was on it, sales would be worse due to few people buying PS3s) Let us say Nintendo worked with Clock Tower again, picking up from where they left off on the SNES. The Wii could be great for remakes of the first two. Used to point and click on the screen, able to twist the remote and what not for fast movements if Scissorman JUMPS at you and is just a inch from you (dispite being gimp in the squeal, that is still bad at times) It would be great for running and could keep the point and click style of the old ones. Bad thing is, Nintendo does not have a big reputation for gore games. They have Resident Evil and such but something like this might not go well. However, I think they could pull it off, do the remakes, add blood splatter and more (look at their FMV in games, just beautiful) and they have many great artist working for them. This is my thoughts, I try not to let my Nintendo fan side control my rational thinking on this subject. Next, X-Box 360. Look at the graphics put to their full strength. Image the graphics. Details, the mansion inside of the first one... The chase with Dan (Too scary if he were made to look really realistic!) However it would probably lose it's point and click fun and you would just say make your character move about freely and get close and press A or something. That would take away but at the same thing it would add intrest if you could control where ever she went (like how Jessica would walk into the background to do something) I believe it being on the the 360 would be both great for looks and style but bad if you enjoy point and click. And 360 tends to show alot of blood in their games. Censors wouldn't bother them much, meaning that there would probably be alot more blood shed with redos and making things more intresting without bothering the story much at all. As for you bringing up the PS3, I must dissapprove of that but that's me and I will over look that but discuss the Sony console PS2 instead so my discomfort of the PS3 does not sway my thoughts on Clock Tower going to it if it does. The PS2 still makes a few games, infact a few good many are scheduled to come out still. The graphics are nice and I believe they rival that of the X-Box (old one) however like the 360 they would probably take away the point and click of the old ones. However, Sony would probably redo alot of things ranging from character design, story and more. However any of the gaming companys risk doing that, I still think Sony would probably redo alot of stuff. Sony is on the same grounds as the 360, though the 360 would be better graphics wise if they used that to it's full power. However I doubt if they did a remake they'd be doing PS2 games anymore and they'd put it on the PS3 and I would never be able to play it (I'm poor! I can't afford a console like that and then buy a 60$ game!) For the remakes, it would all depend on console. If they did remakes, which I dunno how they would since I think HUMAN is no more and I'm not sure who owns the rights to the first two games, it was all lie on the console it's released to. The Wii or 360 would probably be best though since so many people have both or one of them and they tend to advertise their games alot more. End rambling. |

I would really like to see a sequel to Clock Tower 2 (CT in America). I would love to see the Scissorman we all know and love on one of the new consoles. I can see many different scenarios that would make a good sequel, Scissorman is back for revenge and Jennifer is his main target. |

I picked "sequel to CT/2." That's my favorite CT-verse with my favorite characters, and there are so many things that haven't yet been explored. |

Clock Tower (~The First Fear~) would be so great as a remake and a sequel would only make sense if Mary was chasing Jennifer,Helen, or someone else. Or if Mary or someone else ressurected both or one of the scissormen. |

Yeah, but if they could still incorperate the 2D style (I hope you get what I´m saying) it would make the game even cooler, imagine. All those endings and especially the F ending. Just with modern sound, graphics and technology. It would make it all the better. Also if they released it for all the platforms so far, I don´t care if the first release then is japanese. Only if they also make an english one. |

I still say remake the first one for the DS, though... If I was able to, I'd have it as a remake of both First Fear and Clock Tower 2 TOGETHER! Think about it, both games are generaly right next to each other. Players will not only face the horrors of the first game, but will get to experience the aftermath as well. The storyline for the game may be a bit more flexable as well, given the how different endings of the first half of the game could play a role of how things turn out in the second half. |

DOLPHINATSU WILL KILL U!

I am personally torn on some options. I would prefer a brand new title because why should we keep looking into the past and hope to make it better, I would much rather have a brand new game that should tie up any loose ends rather than having the same story with Jennifer be repeated for all eternity. [Like how the LUNAR series is...] As much as I would love a remake of Clock Tower ~The First Fear~ for the DS, Wii, or PS3. I rather choose "A brand new game not related to the previous titles." because the first game already got ported over 4 times on different systems, I think Jennifer already told her story long enough. ^^;; |

Agree wholeheartedly. Like Silent Hill, the only thing that really connects the games together is the town which makes it all the more interesting. Reoccuring characters is more like fanservice- and it doesn't do well trying to further the plot. :/ Reoccuring characters might also throw people off who are new to the series- it'd just be really lovely to see a new face entirely. :D Subtle references to the previous ones are great too, though! But I wonder if the lead will be a girl again? :o |

:o It better be! Unless the killers are all women and a the lead male from run away from all of them! I approve! =D Not to mention I'd LOVE to see a "Magical Girl" scene done by a man!! |

I definitely see where you're coming from. All the things that could be done with a sequel, there's a real danger the designers would just cop out with another "Jennifer is menaced by Scissorman!!!42" story that either doesn't tell us anything, or tells us way too much (some things are scary because you don't know exactly what they are). So perhaps I should amend my statement to, "I want a good sequel to CT/2, or something totally new." On the subject of the main char's gender, if they did want a male one, perhaps a small boy. Kid characters (who aren't maniacs) are tricky, but if done right, you'd really feel the danger. |

Perhaps they could make a clock tower remake but alter certain events (have one of Jennifer's friends survive the first fear, have us witness what happened to ashley, have dennis die.) |
![]() I know, it's generic and unoriginal, but... | |
