Y'know, that prompts the question of why the wonderful scenario of Yuu/Sho-Alyssa/Bates is so seldom suggested among fans for a movie script. (Probable answer: no Scissorman, but thinking about the idea conjures in my head something along the lines of Me, Myself, and Irene with Ishizue as the poor, beleaguered love interest. Which would be wonderful. |

Better yet, there should music from the chase scenes in the game! It would be totally awesome if you could hear the classical music we all love so much in this movie, but I doubt it.. Nod to the game.. Takes me back to the "Anne drowning like the douche she is!" comment.. Also.. It would be more scary if they actually followed the plot of TFF.. When I actually think about it, it might be good if they just stayed to TFF for the first movie. That way we won´t see any crappy flashbacks and stuff. |

They could expand on the orphans since we don't really get to know them other than Anne is rude, Laura is timid, Lotte is a tomboy, etc.. |

My ideal CT movie would focus mostly upon the second game (aka Clock Tower USA) with some ties into the First Fear. Also, I would shoot the movie in a way where there would be multiple versions in the theatres to add an element of surprise to each screening. You know, like when Clue: The Movie had three different endings and each theatre had a different ending available depending on the screening. Except for it being multiple endings, it would perhaps focus more on one character, have different scares and deaths, etc. |

Essentially I would follow the first fears plot. and build from there. I can't see how they would take the plot of one of the least well recieved of all the games and decide to turn that into the big screen adaption. Honestlly I think the move to capcom is what fueled this film into production to begin with. Truth be told this series isn't very popular among mainstream videogamers and the last entrie was from 2003 with meager success, I had to ask my self , as much as I love the idea of a movie, why are they making this film to begin with. I think capcom is behind this film even getting made which is why the films plot revolves around the less popular sequals plot which convientley falls under cocoms owner ship. |

Because it's a confusing name.

It definitaly needs everything that everyone has suggested. Better yet, I seriously think that anyone here would have a better chance at making the movie than what they're trying to do with it. |

I personally think it'd be nice if they; 1. followed the script of the first fear and clock tower (2) if they did this, it'd create a better chance they they remake the games or re-release them for newer systems. 2. it should probably be animated sorry, but this way Jennifer Connelly could do the voice work for Jennifer Simpson... and it be less awkward! also, she might not want to-do a movie - she has, however stated she's interested in trying new things - I'm sure voice over work would be something new. 3. a mini series would be nice. that way they can smoothly go from The First Fear to Clock Tower 2 and not have a movie that's 3 hours+ (we all know how short the attention span is of Americans.) 4. larger roles for Anne, Lotte, and Laura... more lines! 5. perhaps, like the movie Clue (1985) have multiple endings (make it more like the game, the dvd would have the option to show all endings or watch the movie through with one random ending.) |

Clocktower is widely feared and respected by a large varaity of irrlevent people I've met, it may not sell as well as say, Resident Evil or Silent Hill, but I think this is due more to Capcom botching it and not giving it enough attention. I think it's known enough to attract a significant audiance assuming they don't totally botch the movie, which they probably will simply because things inherantly never work in the desired fashion. For the record, I am of the CT3 needs to be moved into it's own seperate series that's not named 'Clock Tower' club. |

I have always wanted to make the Clock Tower movie so badly ever since I played the supposedly first game. I've been tempted to make a fan feature length movie to rival the official movie's release but the only problem is what the hell would I do for a conclusion considering there are no castles/mansions around me? :P |

Yeah, why not? You could even use a matte painting, if the shots you had planned are static enough. The problem with miniatures is that they suffer slightly from post-production enhancement, since there is only so much detail you can bring out. But if you plan it well, storyboard properly and work with the right people you can pull off anything. |

1. SCISSORMAN! The real Scissorman, not some cheap imitation; I don't want a disgruntled mortal who happens to use hedge clippers, I want to see Bobby or Dan Barrows wielding unusually large shears and looking/being badly deformed (depending on which of them is the Scissorman in the movie). 2. JENNIFER: With all that goes with her. She should have her same background as an Orphan whose father's disappearance was somehow tied to the events in Clock Tower . She should be the sole survivor of the Clock Tower murders. She should have long black hair and, for crying out loud, it won't hurt to have her wearing her blue skirt suspended over a white shirt (whether throughout the movie if it were First Fear based or in her memories if it were CT:USA based). She really would need to behave like Jennifer too, and be 14 or 15. No sexy "mature" Jennifer with a bitter, sharp, or otherwise stereotypical Hollywood Teen personality. 3. The same main characters in general. Don't give Jennifer a best friend named Candice who looks and acts nothing like any of her friends, and don't have her being adopted by a 40 year old woman named Pauline who's nothing like Helen. Also, for that matter, have each character's basic personality and physical traits intact. Maybe that's a picky pet peeve of mine, but hey, if I'm answering what my ideal movie would be, that's part of it. 4. Based on either CT: TFF or CT(USA). It could possibly be a variation or combination, but it should be faithful to the duology that started it all. I'll be alright if it's faithful to one of the others (key word, Faithful, and not some hybrid) but it won't be my ideal Clock Tower movie by any stretch of the imagination unless it's based on or heavily related to CT: TFF or CT (USA), or maybe some very clever combination of the two...but "very clever" is yet another set of key words there. 5. Packed with the complex, supernatural backstory of the Barrows, not over the top, but perhaps pulled off with the style of the film, Suspiria. I don't wanna discover that the Barrows are simply a crazy family Texas-Chainsaw-Massecre wannabes. I want to know that Jennifer and company have had a brush with the darkest aspects of the supernatural in their battle. 6. The basic outline of the plot of whichever of the games it's based on. I hate it when an adaptation totally mutates the plot so that, even though you have basically the same characters and same concept, their ordeal may as well not be the one you remember from the game at all. 7. A bit of the artistic, poetic flare that I felt radiated from The First Fear. I think they shouldn't be afraid to be faithful to the spirit of the original dialogue (while of course tweaking it as needed for cinematic purposes) for example, instead of trying to make it more "realistic" (i.e. crude)--there were no F-bombs, or hardly any profanity at all, used in the entirety of the series, and a movie won't be needing all that either; it just severs the poetic flow, IMO... Clock Tower, violent though it was, flowed like a horrific work of poetry. I'd like to see them at least try to capture that with the movie instead of making it so "down-to Earth" mundane that it quickly becomes forgettable. In other words, a good Clock Tower film will be as beautiful as it is horrifying...similarly to, say, Suspiria, which played out like a dark dream. I guess if those things were observed, I'd probably have a very hard time finding anything to complain about with the movie...and that's definitely a good thing. I guess, what with a lot of information that's been released (how the movie's apparently gonna be based on TSW) that these suggestions/speculations are obsolete, but this is a good topic (no matter if it's been a while since anyone's posted here), so I didn't wanna let that stop me.[redit][/redit] Edited by MrMasonW2DS, Aug 29 2008, 09:43:36 PM.
