1: NO GHOST HEAD PLZ! I mean come on! They have no scissorman and its more like a pathetic Resident evil minigame.

2: Scissorman plz! I love Edward and the way he kills his victims....makes me smile on the inside...

3: GOREY BLOODY DEATHS!!! Like Rose's death! Gutted open in the bathroom! XD

4: I wouldn't mind CT3 as a movie, but they NEED NEED NEED NEED NEED AMAZING ACTORS!

5: Hmm....lets see, oh yes! AN ACTUAL CLOCK TOWER PLZ!!! Thats what I want most, cuz if the movie does turn out like crap at least let it have some diginity.

(P.s. Do any of you know if Ghost head has A clock tower? Cuz I didn't see one when I played...)

Hey, hey, don't be a hater. It wasn't supposed to be a lot like the other games in the series; it was more of a spin-off than anything.

Hey, hey, don't be a hater. It wasn't supposed to be a lot like the other games in the series; it was more of a spin-off than anything.
In fact, I read somewhere on these boards that the reason it was a spin-off, and didn't include anything from the original plot, was because Hifumi Konou (sp? Anyway, the guy over the original two Clock Towers) wasn't able to be part of the project, so the guy who was over the project opted to not use any of Hifumi's plot elements out of respect for him, so as not to steal or butcher his story, or even just make it into something that, even if good, would still be taking Hifumi's intellectual creation away from him. And I seem to recall reading somewhere here that Hifumi appreciated that.

When you think of it that way, Clock Tower Ghost Head/The Struggle Within is one of the nicest gestures in entertainment History...usually, once somebody gets the rights/control over something, they couldn't care less about wrenching the original characters/plot out of the original creator's hands and using them as they see fit. So I'm actually pleased that Clock Tower GH/TSW's director wasn't like that. I haven't played it yet, but it's just a nice thought.

At least I think that's the case. Anyway, I'm off-topic with that, but since it'd come up, I figured it was worth commenting on. [redit][/redit]

Yeah! That's what I was thinking about when I said that. That info came from this topic, if I remember correctly. You have a very good point about how it was a nice gesture; never thought of it that way before.

But yeah, back to the topic!

Guillermo del Toro would make a very interesting Clock Tower movie.

In terms of intensity, Alexandre Aja would be interesting as well. Few modern directors have been able to build up tension in film the way that he does. His love for violence in movies also makes him a good candidate since the Clock Tower series has always thrived on brutality. "Mirrors" wasn't amazing (though it was much better than most of the other Asian horror remakes out there right now), but I loved what he did with "High Tension" and his remake of "The Hills Have Eyes."

Edgeworth's on the verge of Panicking

... I'm the only one of us who likes CT3, aren't I? D:

To be honest...

1. The First Fear would be scariest... but I'd like to see them all combined some how... (WARNING: Incredibly terrible idea oncoming) Like having Alyssa, Yu and Jennifer as a group of three friends who each survived a tragedy, and then the Subordinates coming back to haunt them, each representing a part of themselves they need to come to terms with (Like the Scissortwins stalking Yu, representing her need to understand her own multiple personality problem- and Bobby representing Jennifer's need to "cut ties" with her Survivor's Guilt over Lotte, Rolla and Anne's deaths- and Dan would be chasing them the whole time, giving them only until Midnight before he finally finishes them all off.

2. MOAR FUJIKA. I like her a lot, for some reason, so I'd like to at least see her as a support character. Maybe a police officer alongside Gotts? (Oh god Fujika/Gotts DO NOT WANT)

3. NO HOLLYWOOD. Make them smart enough to know when to get the hell out of dodge, and when to fight. Screw sex scenes altogether.

4. We can has Continuity Nods? If we can't do the above, then maybe can we have a cameo or two? Like maybe Yuchan's textbook for Psychology was written by Professor Barton with help from Professor Helen Maxwell?

5. FOR THE LOVE OF BATMAN, LIMIT THE SELF-INSERTS. One little one that doesn't take over the movie, I could bear that, but nothing on par with movie!RE's Alice.[redit]Because I apperently can't spell.[/redit]

The Reasons Clock Tower And Resident Evil Can't Be Crossed Over:

1. Alyssa would pwn all the zombies.
2. Bobby would probably kill someone. It's his job.
3. Jennifer would solve the puzzles in minutes.
AND
4. Bates owns Wesker and that is that.

I like it, too. I think there's a fear any movie version would fall short of what Kinji Fukasaku's already done, sort of the way there was a collective gasp of horror from the film community when Gus Van Sant announced he was going to remake Psycho. Can't speak for everyone, though.

I like your plot idea, though! It reminds me a little of Fatal Frame 3, and sounds like a neat way to combine plotlines/continuities without risking being contradictory.

IAWTS. I apologize in advance for mention of your bogeyman, but the end of the film where Alice calls Wesker and tells him she's "coming to get him" actually made me want to see him put the smack down on her. Original characters can work, but they need to be believable in the context of the story, and they need to earn the viewers' respect and trust. Introducing a new main character by showing him wantonly flaunt the universe's well-established rules or beat up a regular- even if that regular is a villain- doesn't make viewers think he's cool. It usually has the opposite effect.

I like CT3 too...not in the same way I like the other two, so sometimes I say things like "I wish it had been under a different title" but that doesn't mean I like it less either...it's the same way I like Silent Hill in a different way than the Clock Tower series; I guess that's how ya might look at it. I think a lot of people here who wish CT3 had turned out differently feel similar, since most of us seem to like it, just differently.

Y'know, even though my personal ideal CT movie (as described previously) would definitely be more of a straight-on translation of one of the titles to the big screen (or a well done combination of the duology), I've gotta say that I still think that movie in your idea could be quite interesting. And at least it would certainly tie into the series well (especially since it's a direct sequel to all the games' continuities, it seems). If they ever made a game of what you described, fans of all three previous storylines could have a pleasant surprise. It'd take style to pull it off just right, but I imagine most people on this board, if given the time, could conceive of good ways it could be done.

Yeah, that's exactly how I feel about CT3! I find it a fun game in its own right, but I love it in a different way than I do with the rest of the series.

*has nothing worthwhile to contribute to this topic*

The biggest thing for me about CT3 is that it's so fantasy based. I like the game and all but it's just not "Clock Tower" in the same way that the first three games were. In all of the other games there was "magic" and "powers" that existed but they were dark, mysterious, and never really explained...Clock Tower 3 basically said "lol you're a magical girl with all these powers, here's how you got them, here's what to do with them." There were definitely some dark scenes in the game (the second "world" specifically) but there wasn't enough mystery and darkness to it.

I did like the ideas and stories behind the subordinates though, that was probably my favorite part about the third game.

(Blush) Why, thank you! Didn't realize I actually had a good one there. I totally thought I was gonna be tarred and feathered, there.

@JBurroughs: Thanks. It sort of came to mind while plotting the Epic Crossover that I am attempting to write. And... my hatred of Alice is legendary amidst my friends. If that were to happen, I would totally either A:
Shove Wesker out of the way and kick her ass myself (Canon reasserting itself, beeches! XD)

or B:

Actually have a reason to semi-not-hate Wesker anymore.

@Mr. M: Thank you, too. If my idea were to be used, I'd kind of like the man behind the Lord of The Rings on it. He did a pretty damn good job on LoTR, in my opinion.

@Reiji: That's likely my favorite part of CT3. The Subordinates.

But I rabu Alyssa, she's so adorable <3
