Should Jennifer Have Tried To Rescue Simon?

Do you think Jennifer should have or at least considered rescuing Simon from his jail shed? Simon Barrows was inhumanely locked up by Mary, and he never liked Mary's plans to raise their twins as demons. Mary allowed Simon to live just to fulfill her sick-minded desires of seeing Simon going insane.

Do you think Jennifer could have helped Simon recover his sanity? Do you think them together could've help brought down the other Barrows more easily? Do you think both of them could survive and help give more clear and better accounts of the Barrows story?

What if Simon is too insane and unstable to function normally and innocently? Do you think them being together made them more vulnerable? That was the excuse Helen used in CT USA/CT2 JPN to her from Beth. Maybe he didn't know for sure Bobby and Dan were supposed to be demons when they were just born, and Simon was willingly involved in locking up Jennifer' father Dr. Walter Simpson?

What do you think Jennifer should have done? Is it better to leave Simon to die, to escape from an insane, crippled life? Is it better to leave him die as punishment for leaving Walter to die? Or is it better to help a poor man ripped apart by his fanatical wife and recover his sanity?

I think Jennifer should have rescued Simon if she had the Copper Key with her. I doubt Simon wanted to let Walter die. Even if he allowed it, he was probably coerced by Mary to agree with locking up Walter, considering he was eavesdropping her for her evil plans (according to an email from Hifumi Kono). His sanity and health could also had at least been somewhat recovered from the food Jen gave him, since it seems as if he was on the verge of dying.

Hmm, having him along when Lotte Came in so he could lead the way and get shot instread would have been useful, besides that, he probably would have gone primal on Mary, which might have been nice too.

RAEP!!

Oh.. You meant, as in a fist fight? Mary fights like a little hamster anyway.. Always with the big guns or sharp knives T_T Or from behind where noone sees her... Or throws people from tall buildings >_> Or poisons their drink so she can lock them up.. Or goes terminator when the lights come off and stabs people...

It would've been funny to see him go crazy on Mary, but then there's the issue of calming him down and getting him on a leash or something to get further along. He could've probably been helped.. and the poor man is probably still sitting there in his cage gardening his turnips.. :P

I think Simon would have been to weak to even walk around, I wouldn't even have bothered trying if he couldn't get up.

^ Yeah, and the man's all-the-way crazytown. He was too mentally unstable to take along as an ally; as Jennifer is unarmed for most of the game, she'd have no means of defense if Simon's stomach suddenly started growling.

If he was too weak to walk, how could he overpower Jennifer? Anyway, for the most part, I agree, the cheese has slid off his cracker, but he would have made a useful human shield.

Adrenalin is a magical substance.

Anyway, yeah. Simon was way too nutzo to be of any use to Jennifer. He probably just woulda killed you somehow. Boo!

He who waltzs...

He was probably too far gone to really tell the difference between a friend or foe and just went ape **** on anyone who came near. It's bad enough you had Bobby wondering around looking for you, adding another loon would just make it twice as hard to escape without someone chasing you... Though if he did stumble upon his wife or a child he'd probably slow them down and that would assist in your escape

Also, Goldie I don't think he was too weak to walk around. He knocked Jennifer flat on her ass and had enough strength to tear flesh from bone to eat (Yummah...) so clearly he would be able to stumble around atleast and probably show to be very scary when going through a adrenalin rush or trying to eat

No, personally I think Simon was past all hope (being locked in a cage for nine years can do strange things to a man)

Simon is beyond all help, Jennifer was right to just leave him behind. He would've fallen victim to fatigue or starvation sooner or later.

If might've been better for Jen to find some way to put him out of his misery.

I'm not quite sure. When Mary tries to shoot Jen when she's in the box, he doesn't try to save her.
