Heh...y'all.

Anyway, I didn't see this posted?

http://www.horroryearbook.com/541865/inter...-alien-pig-farm

It's not like NEW information but I found it interesting. The CT part is like halfway down.

They all seem a little confused on CT. One played CT2, another played CT3, another played...Haunting Ground...

I found it amusing that one of them thought that CT3 was CT2 T_T
And another guy seemed to believe that Haunting Ground is part of the series.. (Which it basicly is but it doesn´t have the name/anything to do with the series except for the big guys scissors..)

Actually, he has a pair of hedge clippers, which he doesn't use while chasing Fiona. *bricked!*

Uh... I'll read the review when I don't feel lazy. =D;

That Molly person needs to be smacked. Not only do they apparently pull off a rude interview by talking over each other, but she has Haunting Ground mixed up with CT. The other guy seems to have known a bit more of what he was talking about.

The one they were interviewing tho....yeah he had CT3 mixed up with CT2. >_> Not exactly too...encouraging...

That's a pathetic interview. The woman was rude and tried to be funny, but horribly failed at it. I'd really like to email them or something, I probably will once I get an address.

OK, several things about this "interview":

- As noted above, it was conducted poorly. There's nothing to differentiate the interviewers' text from the writer's responses; the red highlighting that's arbitrarily used is a horrible distraction. Additionally, the focus of a interview is supposed to be on the subject; the interviewers aren't supposed to babble on self-indulgently.

- No one there, again, seems particularly knowledgable about the CT series. Their counting CT3 as the second game and CT2 as the first, etc., seems simply to stem from ignorance of the Super Famicom original. It's not encouraging, though, that Farmer's played only CT3; it's not as it's a big deal to check out some of the other titles. Geez, there're even taped playthroughs on YouTube.

- Speaking of which, this "CT3 only" news would seem to put a damper on the trailer rumor, as the supposed trailer advertises elements from all the games.

- Then again, as we seem to have another writer now (what happened to the When a Stranger Calls guy?), those elements could've been ported over from the previous script, and the current writer just doesn't catch the references. The basic plot of the supposed trailer, after all, is still a direct CT3 rip; the references to other games are just add-ons. The Tale of the Phantom Trailer is growing less credible by the moment, though.

- Interesting: throughout the movie's inception, the plot has always been taken from CT3, but Scissorman has come and gone. Are they going, then, to focus on Sledgehammer and Corroder, the scariest (and - what happy coincidence! - gruesomely violent) of the Subordinates?

- Didn't Haunting Ground have the same team as CT3?

- Will everyone shut up with the goddamn Hilary Duff rumors? *Including* the writer? "We *might* have Hilary! Maaaaayyyybe!" No, you don't; stop catering to rumors started by twelve-year-olds on GameFAQs, you pansy.

My hopes for this movie are still in the basement. Revolving writers is never a good sign for a film, and none of the names involved so far seem worthy of dusting Argento or Fukusaku's spats.

I'm a little confused tho. Apparently they changed writers, because he says at one point, the script he wrote didn't involve Scissorman, but he's heard that Scissorman has been put back in.

Which makes me wonder...for starters, how old is this interview? (I'm too lazy to check the interview its self)

Second....did this guy get shacked or something? I'm slightly confused, because I haven't been keeping up...but it almost seems like his script blowed and they fired him, but he won't come out and say that.

Oh perhaps I am just dumb.

Seems that interview is from August of this year. Todd Farmer is the guy who wrote Jason X - and I remember when the news of the movie was updated a year or two ago, he was attached to it. Seems he was replaced. Not surprising, he compared the CT script to the Tomb Raider script...yikes.

The ONLY (and I mean only) positive thing about that interview is that the producers were unhappy Scissorman wasn't involved. That tells me they at least played the games.

Rereading the interview, it seems that Todd Farmer submitted his completed, no-Scissorman draft a year ago. He was then replaced (by the When a Stranger Calls guy?), after which Scissorman was put back in the mix by producers. Judging from his comment, he seems to hear things now and then about the project but isn't actively involved in it.

Good gravy, that's a confusing interview.

Nevermind, I'm not sending an email... what is there to email him about? The interviews been dumb, and it'd be as rude as Molly was to tell him he was dumb. >_< Oh well. It seems like nobody knows about Clock Tower...

He's invoking Tomb Raider in the sense of how that movie didn't follow the game's plot slavishly but instead used the concepts as a jumping-off point for an original story. He doesn't mean it in the literal sense of Alyssa packing thigh-holstered pistols.

Hmmm...I agree with your idea on keeping this in the basement, but they did say that Scissorman might be back in the mix, so....

But anyways, this was really dumb. These ''interviewers'' didn't have too much of a ''view'' Mixing up games that didn't even belong in the series AND the numbers of the games. Look up your history before running your mouth on a subject, morons... But yes, I am fairly sure that Haunting Ground was made by Capcom, too.

So, we have the Scissorman in a CT3-referenced game. And these idiots are still going on about Hilary Duff. I don't see Duffy in a horror movie. She's been in too many, how to put this in a non-insulting way, ''happy'' movies, like Cheaper by the Dozen and Raise your voice, movies like that. She wouldn't work for a horror movie...

All in all.........sheesh........

Oh, I know that Capcom was the developer; I just seem to recall that the same development team within Capcom that made Clock Tower 3 also worked on Haunting Ground.

I also wish all speculation about Duff would die; horror doesn't match with her image, and the rumors have absolutely no basis in fact.
