For only $5.00! I'm excited. I've heard there's nothing really different about the Jpn version but it's still cool to have :D

I heard that the Japanese version has different, better voice work recorded by the same actors. Anyone know if that's true?

Yeah the voicework is a bit different - for the most part the dialog is the same (with some differences) but the voices must have been re-recorded for the US version. Also I found it kinda funny whenever the narrator guy was like "CLOCK. TOWER. 2."

I've had TONS of trouble playing the disc on an emulator (since I don't have a PS1).

epsxe - The game was pretty much unbearable. On whatever CD Rom plugins I tried it just was the same - game loaded but WAAAAY choppy through the intro. Then once I started a new game it would go to the part where Helen is like "professor Barton!" but was was way slow and I couldn't get past that part. So the game was unplayable.

PSX Emulator - First time using this emulator. This loaded the game better but the sound was way messed up. Was able to configure the sound in a way that would play muuuch better but the game is a bit choppy. I got to the part where Jennifer starts walking home from the "date" but the game crashed right after that. I haven't tried re-loading.

EPSXE works fine for me, although I always play my PSX games from my hard-drive via ISO. Playing PSX games from the original CD on the computer is always asking for trouble.

And yes, it's great to hear the "Clock. Tower. Tsu!"

And, in the opening movie, did the USA version have the FMV showing Jennifer kill Dan? I don't remember that from the USA version.

Get MagicISO. Here is some part of the dialogue (for the people who don't own the game) I've noticed while playing:

Japanese Version

Security Guard: What's the matter?
Jennifer: There is someone following me
Security Guard: Some weirdo I guess.

-

Europe/USA Version

Security Guard: What's wrong?
Jennifer: Help! Someone is following me!
Security Guard: Some kind of weirdo?

You can make an image using Nero or WinISO, updated version, but I prefer Nero, since this program make a good copy of the cd...

Hmm so I tried to make the ISO but it wouldn't play...

I'm not sure what to change in the options when I make the ISO...is there a certain setting I should pick? I don't really know what most of the edit settings mean ;_;

What program did you use? For one, EPSXE only supports .img, .bin and .iso format. So CloneCD and Nero images don't work, alone with other obscure image files.

I used MagicISO, but wasn't sure what to change on the edit options...
