Awesomeness! you really got 300$ just for waiting for the scene to be filmed?? Now I know why the budget is so high up T_T If they have about 100 extras in the movie, that´s easily 300.000$ there!

Normal rate for extras on a feature film is £100-200 per day.

Jeb

100, not 300, 100 *Looks back to make sure he didn't Typo* I could have made more by showing up the next night, but we were going on vacation the next day, so that was out.

Ms Mary

Depends on what you want signed I suppose

In the US it seems like it depends on the size of the movie and the buget, but it ranges from 80 - 200 bucks a day, more if you have overtime.

When I was in We are Marshall (I was a face in the crowd, literally) I made about 80 bucks a day for about eight hours of sitting on benches or bleachers, shouting for whatever team they had our side of the field cheering for at the time, then waiting as they did several (And I do mean SEVERAL) takes of the same scene, overall though, they didn't treat the extra's in We are Marshall nearly as good as the ones in One missed call.

In We are Marshall, our lunch, pretty much every day, was chick-fil-a fried chicken sandwhich, waffle cut fries, and a brownie (Mind you, I'm not a big brownie man myself) This was a bit lame, as the heat out there gor pretty bad some days, GA isn't the nicest state for heat sometimes, and though it was just getting into spring if I recall, it was still pretty warm.

It took a fellow having Heatstroke (OR a heartattack, couldn't be sure) Until they started to realize they needed to pass out a wee bit more water.

One Missed call however, was mostly just waiting (The only occasion in my life where I've been paid to sit around and play Fire Emblem), Then we ended up easting before we even shot any scenes, the food was laid out buffet style, they did let the bigger actors and crew go first, but for the people that were there that night (Maybe 30 or so) There was still plenty to pick from.

They had nice vans to carry us here and there, from the set to where they had us park in other words, We are Marshall had old School buses except for a few days they had nicer ones

When we got out to the set and waited around some more in one missed call, they did provide a couple carts of refreshments to steal from, which I did liberally (No, it wasn't really stealing...I don't think.)

They shot the scene, maybe about 10-20 times, then day was breaking and since it was a night scene, they told us it was time to go home

Dad was there too, he never was filmed, but they still paid him just as much.

And that, is my Movie acting experience in far more detail than you probably wanted, of course, there are further stories, but I think 've done gone and Hijacked this topic, which makes me a baaaaaaaaaaaddddd bbbbboooooyyyyy *Swats self with ruler*

Hmm, was there a group of people looking at a dead body near a train at any point in the movie?

well, I THINK (Still haven't seen it, just from being there), I might be on the leftish side of the screen if I'm in it, just look for a long haired fellow, silently talking with someone else, I really should put up a pic of myself I suppose.

Ahh, back then I really didn't look too good in still shots...lately I haven't seen enough pictures of me to know, anyway, I think my hair was around that length, or somewhere shorter...I don't remember honestly, but at least you'll know who you're looking for.

That's so awesome that you were an extra in a movie, zeon! =D The only person I know of was that my uncle was an extra in the beginning of that Steven Seagal movie Under Seige, you can see him for a brief moment before he walks away. I think it's so awesome to know someone that was in a movie, even if it was for a second. =D

Hmm, I was wondering if anyone has watched the original Korean version of this movie? If so, was it better than the American remake?

I thought the original was Japanese . . I'm almost positive. XD If they made a Korean version I don't know of it.

But yeah. I saw the Japanese one. MUCH better than the American remake.

Oh, I messed up big time. I thought I read Korean on the cover of it at Blockbuster, but I probably mistaken it. You are right that it's a Japanese movie. >3<

It's all right, I understood what you meant. XD If I wasn't psycho about languages I would probably just call them all "asian movies". XD

But yeah. The original was much better. It even had a better ringtone. XD;
