Problem in the Caves; Right at the start!!

Posts: 196 Group: Granite Orphan Member #226 Joined: 02/05/08	I'm stuck in the Caves, right at the beginning. I see Ms. Mary walking past the guard dog. I walk near it, until it's in the screen. I then try to use the perfume on Jennifer (got it out, moved it over her, pressed Y), she just walks. The same occurs with the black robe. Could it be that there's some kind of mistake? The first time, I got the Devil Statue, but didn't look at the painting, placed the Statue and got to caves. The second time I looked at the mural. I also saw Anne die by crashing through the stained glass. In none of these attempts, Jennifer sprayed herself with the perfume or put on the black robe. I'm afraid, there's an error in my ROM (I downloaded it from ROMNation.net, the one where the patch already was installed). Can anyone help me? EDIT: Solved!

Maybe you should just try walking to it, if you haven't already? No, I think I have seen a video showing Jennifer at a distance to the dog and the player used the perfume and black robe manually. I even moved nearer at the dog than he/she did and tried. Fail...

Btw, can Jennifer also die by the dog with the perfume and black robe in her inventory? EDIT: Uhm... I can also prove you I have these in my inventory. Posted Image So, I have the perfume, the rope, the black robe and the cage key. Did I miss something important?

I'll try to patch it myself. EDIT: Now that's strange... I successfully patched the ROM myself and tried to run it. I held fast forward, but the screen saying "HUMAN Entertainment" won't come...

Make sure the items "lock in" on her and they're not in front or behind her, or else she will just walk either direction. It should pull to her chest or somewhere and then release the button and she will equip whatever item you tried to use.
