I apologies if this has been posted before, however, when playing Clock Tower II: The Struggle Within with ePSXe it gives a error saying it doesn't 'recognize' a memory card - and when I save the game via Save State (under the Run tab) upon loading it crashes ePSXe... this is the first time I've had this problem with a game (even the japanese versions of Clock Tower the First Fear and Clock Tower work fine) Have any of you had this problem? and is there a way of resolving it (to your knowledge)? Thanks... |

Hmmmmmmmmm... I don't recall ever having any issues with playing CT2/CTGH on ePSXe but then again, I haven't played it in forever either. I'll pull out my copy when I get a chance and double check to see if it happens with me or not. |

That's odd, I never had that kind of problem before. I would suggest trying to download the save data for Clock Tower II from GameFAQs and set it as Slot 1 of the memory card. Maybe that would fix it? |

Try a new BIOS file maybe? Reinstall ePSXe? There are no related plugins for memory cards afaik, and I think ePSXe would still read the 'card' if the bios was broken, so it's almost certainly something with ePSXe itself. |

thanks for the advice... I've tried everything so far (installing a new bios certainly seemed to improve performance!) however, when I got back to the first save point (after throwing the statue into the fireplace and burning it) it screws up... perhaps it's the new version of epsxe? I had to download a old version of zsnexw because the newest version doesn't seem to play the Clock Tower SNES translated rom. or perhaps I just need a new computer? :-P |
