Theories of Philip's Activities Behind the TV; Sordid theories anyone?

I'm sure everyone recalls that the protagonist's first encounter with Philip Tate is in the Family/TV Room where he seems to be doing some kind of searching or fondling of sorts by the TV. My friend Mike would always joke that he was jacking off behind the TV and/or making love to the TV. Everytime we played the game and he saw Philip by the TV, he would just start laughing and say in a high pitched voice, "Uncle Philip jacking off behind the TV!"

It was slightly amusing to think of but also very sordid as well.

Does anyone else have any other (sordid) theories as to what he was doing? :D

I had always figured that he was just hiding...and constantly looking around nervously. I honestly have no clue what he could be doing. If I was Alyssa, I'd be more puzzled on what he was doing than what what was going on in the house.

If he was hiding behind the TV, he didn't do a very good job as he's in plain sight. Then again, hasn't stopped the antagonists in this game from missing it, heheh.

I thought he was probably frightened and in a panic, and didn't know where to go or something. ^_^; He was kind of looking around like "Uh oh, what do I do, what do I do?" Even though there is a closet right in the same room he coulda hid in . . but maybe he was too big. And I hope he wouldn't be so stupid as to hide in the same places Alyssa hides in (aka plain sight)

Even more puzzling is that you walk back into the room and he is gone. o_o; Into thin air.

I always thought it was just cowering next to the TV. Never thought of it THAT way before!

LMAO! That rocked so hard Flowtac, I would die to hear a voice clip of you guys saying it! >V< Whenever I get to that scene, I remember telling my sister: "Uncle Philip, he fails at hiding."

But I really dunno what he was doing. Maybe he was trying to find the Golden Statue? *shrugs* Wait, he wouldn't even know about it, would he?

Poor Dan...

Lol, jacking off.

I always assumed he was simply panicky and not actually doing anything back there.

I know, it's generic and unoriginal, but...

But technically he would know about it, considering he was the one who hid it in one of the closests of the house! :P

Also, I'll see if Mike can do a recording of him saying the hilarious bizarreness he created.
