Hello, students! Today we will we learning the difference between the report button and the quote button. Why do we need this lesson, you ask? Well, without mentioning names, some of you have confused the two of them with each other and have made reports for innocent posts on accident. While this isn't a common occurrence it has happened enough to annoy me and enforce the creation of this lesson. Now then. Posted Image These are the two buttons in question. (Please click to view the whole image.) Posted Image Here are these two buttons again, only outlined. Since these two buttons are so close together, it's easy to see how one can make the mistake of clicking one while trying to hit the other. While that's forgivable, it is also easy to spot the difference between the report form and the usual post form. Let's take a look at both of them. Posted Image The report form. Posted Image The regular page you see when you're posting. Now let's compare the two, shall we? Posted Image How many differences can you spot? Be sure to take note of the ones you can see, as finding them all will be your homework for tonight. I hope that this lesson this evening will keep mix-ups between the two from happening again. That is all. Class dismissed. |
