Poor Dan...

Who wants to bet that they will change Yu/Alyssa's name to Jennifer?

Well the might do that just because they think that it will satisfy our craving for a different game adaption... I don´t mind TSW, but if they make it too hollywood-ish, I´m leaving the planet Earth! >:|

Mmm... Rubber~

I remember what Mario said about that movie, kyrtuck... "The worst thing I ever did? Super Mario Brothers. It was a nightmare. The whole experience was a nightmare. It had a husband-and-wife team directing, whose arrogance had been mistaken for talent. After so many weeks their own agent told them to get off the set! Fuckin' nightmare. Fuckin' idiots." XD

ALYSSA! I've become a Subordinate!

On one hand, I think 'they' - and by 'they' I mean whoever's got the film now, 'cause by the time I finish typing this they may have passed the screenwriting duties to Kevin Williamson with Oliver Stone in the director's chair - are smart not adapting Clock Tower 3, considering the game was helmed by an internationally-acclaimed director and there'd be no way to avoid comparisons. On the other hand, TSW's plot was so convoluted they had trouble squeezing all of it into the lengthy game. Trying to condense it even further into a proper movie-length feature might, er, pose a challenge. Especially if you're going to be swapping someone for a TFF/CT2 Scissorman.

Edit: The news has also hit Dark Horizons, but this article isn't much different (although it doesn't make the Capcom mistake). Still, here it is, FYI. http://www.darkhorizons.com/news08/080501d.php

DOLPHINATSU WILL KILL U!

To me, I personally feel like they're going to mix every Clock Tower game into one. We get a girl like Yû [CTGH] whose name is Jennifer [CT] and has a sister named Alyssa [CT3].

On another note, I can understand why they would say that Capcom made it instead of Sunsoft. Think about it, which out of the two companies is more recognized to a casual game or to a general audience? Most people know Capcom and it is the wiser choice to say, considering that they have Resident Evil and Street Fighter behind their name. Even someone who doesn't play video games know that Capcom is behind the Resident Evil series because they have watched their movies. Now with Sunsoft, can anyone really name a popular title that they have done without using Google? Probably only a few devoted to the company can name a title. I had to use Google myself and on their Wikipedia article the most popular title I can think of out of their list is Blaster Master.

So yeah, that's my two cents...

BANNED!

a future clock tower movie? again?
wasnt it scrapped?

oh wait, that was back in 2006-7, same for the fatal frame movie which spielberg wanted to direct...

en fin, knowing hollywood, the story will be based on CT:TSW but will somehow feature the mansion in the first fear (even if it is in flashbacks)

Demolitions freak.

I don't see this ending well at all, I was hoping for a movie where scissorman chases Jennifer around, silly me forgetting Capcom would rather make a movie about CT3....

Least there's still something else to look forward too.

I dunno guys. I mean, yeah, it's probably gonna be a crazy mess of all the games mixed into 1, but as long as the Scissortwins and Dennis and the overall plot from 3 aren't in the movie, I'm golden. I'll go and cheer regardless of how bad the movie gets murdered (I'll even go in cosplay to the first showing >_>).

It's very likely it won't resemble any of the Clock Tower games, characters or stories, once (if indeed ever) finished. Film is currently in development hell.

According to an official and recent Capcom of Japan statement, Clock Tower was confirmed for an 09 release. They also said that the Street Fighter movie is going to be released in 08.
