Simply as the title states.

What kind of locations would you like to explore?

It'd have to be something that's creepy by default! (Or something that's not usually creepy turned creepy; that'd be awesome. As long as the places are creepy.) I have a thing for being stuck in a museum, though, so maybe a museum could be a location?

Like a crime exhibit at a museum turned grisly / nightmarish?

Ooooo, that's creative! I meant a whole museum, though. The stalker(s) could have all sort of fun hiding behind the exhibits and using them to their gruesome advantage.

I would like to see the museum idea executed as well. Imagine the killer hiding amongst the wax figures, reminds me of the good ole days of Scissor Man hiding in the aquarium. ^^;;

I would also like to see a place to explore would be in a police station-prison type area. An original Clock Tower story I had in mind had it where the heroine is being questioned by the police at the station, the killer attacks you in there. So in there, the heroine gets to learn a bit more about the people in her life through their files. And also it would be neat to also have criminals in addition to worry about on top of the stalker chasing you. Especially imagine if the killer were to "accidentally" set the criminals free -- oh ho ho hoh!! =D

Also I think the woods leading up to an reclusive mansion would be kinda neat. Since it's not an area you can easily be familiar with. Like in a mansion you never been to before, you can always hide under the bed and such. But in a forest, it's more playing upon the fear of finding somewhere to hide in.

Now that's all I can think of. ^^;;

Great ideas so far! So far, the cool thing is, these areas aren't necessarily mutually exclusive!

I could see the heroine initially attacked in a museum for the first scenario.

Then, for the second scenario she's questioned at the police station about her terrifying experience, where somehow she is trapped with the killer, perhaps after returning later that night...chaos ensues.

Finally, she notices an obscure clue (possibly back in the police station) that indicates that the killer's secret can be found in a secluded mansion, but the only way to get there is on foot through the woods.

That fits together perfectly! And maybe if the game has four parts like CT3 does (or is it technically 5?), maybe the mansion itself can be a location?

Definitely.

Before too long, we'll all have our very own CT4 plot figured out! :D

Capcom, are you taking notes?

I'd like to explore an old mansion like the Burroughs, but a bit bigger and darker. I'd have a fun, scary night, "OMG OMG OMG Somethings gunna jump out, somethings gunna- EEEEEEEEEEK!....Oh it's just a rat. Man I'm uptight, I'm so going to disney world after this."

If it's KNIFE RAAAAAAAAAT!; then you had ought to be careful! -giggle-

But I do like what you mean; fear through the power of suggestion, not some cheap scare tactic. Visual scares are good, too, like... A moving shadow, or a bed that was once prim and neat is now has disheveled sheets.

Here are some locations I thought of, sans the museum idea. :b

· Elaborately designed Victorian era mansion, perhaps?
· Industrial warehouse. (In the distance, you might hear a cacophony composed by loose hanging scrap metals.)
· Any abandoned location -- take a look here, if you will. Perhaps the building the character exploring, in an advanced state of decay, poses more of a threat than the stalker might.

I'll think of more, soon!

LOL! After reading 123lealea's post, I was thinking of being chased by a killer in Disney World. XvX

Or in that same note, being chased in an amusement park. It's so cheesy B horror, but I guess it works? It's like a rule in horror genres to have a place associated with a carnival or theme park.

ALYSSA! I've become a Subordinate!

Love the ideas! I think it would be neat to have a farm as a level. An open level, including the house, barns, and perhaps even some of the surrounding fields would provide plenty of places to hide and plenty of things to use as retaliation points.[redit][/redit]

I'd love to be stalked by the subordinates or Bobby though. I have some funny comments I'd like to say while being chased by em! XD[redit][/redit]

I would imagine it would be easy to come up with a funny comment while running away from anyone!

Another location idea :

· Perhaps a neighboring home? The character would be familiar with the exterior of the said home, but it'd be pretty interesting if they were chased into a neighboring home; a place they could usually find solace in, but for some reason, the neighbors aren't home, either.

Bonus points for the scary/devastating effect if there are grisly reasons for the neighbors' absence, which the protagonist stumbles upon. While that's been done in movies (in a way) I don't think that's been done very much in video games, so it'd be fresh...and very effective.
