Tuesday, October 7, 2008 By: MrDisgusting Queue this one under rumor for now, but what our regular tipster has told us is that Milla Jovovich (pictured inside) is now set to play Alyssa Barron in Senator Entertainment and The Weinstein Company's Clock Tower, the adaptation of the best-selling survival horror videogame franchise from Capcom (Resident Evil, Street Fighter). We have NOT confirmed this, so watch this spot for an update. Jovovich has starred in films such as THE FIFTH ELEMENT, the RESIDENT EVIL franchise, ULTRAVIOLET and will be appearing in THE 4TH KIND and A PERFECT GETAWAY. Shooting is scheduled for November in Los Angeles. Read on for a much more details synopsis. Time stands still at the old Hamilton Inn. On its grounds, a town once took vengeance on a brutal killer - displaying his body from the ghostly hands of the Inn's ominous clock tower for all to see. Known only as the "Scissor Man," the killer's years of silence are about to be broken by a beautiful college coed with a terrifying connection to the old hotel. When 18-year old Alyssa Barron receives a haunting phone call from her estranged birth mother on the eve of her summer vacation, she will find herself almost unwittingly drawn toward the rundown inn and the secret of a mother, a family, and a murder too horrifying to be real. Then we got a girl with psychological issues on one hand a la Clock Tower II, and now we are presented with a story about a missing mother a la Clock Tower 3. And Milla playing the role of an 18 year old girl? Not believable in the slightest. As much as I loved Milla, I think she would be much better playing the heroine's mother than the heroine herself. Would the real Clock Tower movie please stand up? o.o;;

And Milla Jovovich playing an 18 year old? That stretches the suspension of disbelief beyond...well...belief. :dry: Wow, figuring out what the Clock Tower movie will really be like is a bigger mystery than the origins of the Barrows Family. And since we know little about them before their 13th generation, that's saying something.

This is confusing me as well... Well, if it were up to us to choose a plot - which one would you choose? The psychologist one with the actress playing Alyssa whoever you choose, or the Inn one but Milla has to be the main character?

I very much think the plot with Milla as the main character (aside from her being the main character) has a far more Clock Tower feel to it. It's not quite the same as the games we know and love, but it comes very close compared to some other proposed plots I've heard of. There's just something sinister to it in a Clock Tower way. However...Milla playing an 18 year old, mostly defenseless character is such a stretch that I dunno. I choose that plot, still, because maybe with the right wardrobe, make-up, acting, etc. etc. etc., Milla can make that believable enough to bear. But if I had my rathers, I'd want that plot with a main star actress that was actually in the right age range and hadn't built a reputation for playing a character so tough that a zombie apocalypse couldn't stand in her way. I shudder at the thought that, at any time, Alyssa might just pull a roundhouse kick and a triple uppercut combo on Scissorman. In fact, that thought alone is probably scarier than whichever plot they choose!

"Goldie" Well, if it were up to us to choose a plot - which one would you choose? The psychologist one with the actress playing Alyssa whoever you choose, or the Inn one but Milla has to be the main character? I'll take Milla playing an overaged teenager. Leeloo proves she can, in fact, play a character who's not totally repulsive, but she's not the main reason I'd make that choice. We've heard very little of the TSW script, but unfair and selfish as I know it is of me, I've hated all of it so much, I'd take just about anything else, so long as it knows what DID is and is Eleazar-free.

	The Reasons Clock Tower And Resident Evil Can't Be Crossed Over: 1. Alyssa would pwn all the zombies. 2. Bobby would probably kill someone. It's his job. 3. Jennifer would solve the puzzles in minutes. AND 4. Bates owns Wesker and that is that.
