DOLPHINATSU WILL KILL U!

While coming across magazines in Retromags, I came across Electronic Gaming Monthly's October 1997 magazine, Issue 099 that had this one page where they were pitting characters against each other. Seems our good friend, Scissorman, was put against Enemy Zero's Alien. I never played Enemy Zero and Wikipedia informed me that it's a Sega Saturn game. And it's part of the D series. Large image is large: Spoiler: click to toggle So here is the magazine and tell me what you guys think! =D |

While I truly disagree with them that Scissorman is an "old man". [Did they even played the game?] With a brain of a 2 year old. [Last I checked, Edward was a young boy, so it makes sense for him to be childish. Then again, we don't know which roles were really Edward and which ones were Barton and Harris trying to imitate him.] But I do agree that Scissorman is a slow paced killer and that can easily outsmarted if the player knows what to do. Someone who hasn't played the Clock Tower series before will have a hard time with our good friend Scissorman. Though I really cannot conclude if the Aliens in Enemy Zero are really that much stronger, so I cannot say much if they are right or not. |

I don't know much about Enemy Zero (liked D but had no Saturn), but unless that alien has a) a door to the Netherworld, b) a spell to open it, and c) the ability to read Latin and pronounce "N-ha e sh*" so it can cast it, it's not going to be defeating Scissorman any time soon. ;) |

Interesting choice of opponent. But I really think they need to do their homework. Cool pic of Scissy though. Thanks for sharing this enig! ^_^ |

Well, I never played D, Enemy Zero. But I'm going with the Dan man. I've read about Enemy Zero, and it sounds dumb. What's this with a D game suddenly taking place in SPACE!? And yes, I'd say Scissorman was unfairly portrayed in that article thing. And on that note: A. I always thought that his limp was just part of his disguise, andhe didn't really have a problem with it. B. He can't be killed by physical means, that's why evryone was trying to figure out how to kill him. C. He can apparently teleport/pause time. Although how he chooses to use these powers, and any possible limitations on them is another story. |
