DOLPHINATSU WILL KILL U!

I has a question that I am pretty curious about, but I want to hear it from the British fans of this forum! =D Everyone else can comment also, but I want to mainly know their opinions because this relates to them more.

Okay, Clock Tower 3 was set in England. I was wondering are the locations that they used like Cardiff, Wales; the spellings they used such as Scull; and the voice acting, since the people that voiced this game are natives from Britain. Are they very accurate? Was there anything that made you think twice about when Capcom localized Clock Tower 3 that if they really did all of their homework? This has been bugging me because I want to hear this straight from a native of Great Britain.

So tell me guys, did Capcom done a great job with making it believable to you guys?

Well... there's a TV programme called Midsomer Murders over here, which is mostly watched by old people. And from what I've taken from the voice-actors from the IMDB page of CT3, they are fairly regular in that programme. xD So it gives us young uns an incentive to watch it. :3

I've never heard of a place called Scull. But it could be a town name. *shrug*

From what I've estimated... here are the location in CT3. I don't really know where Alyssa lives though, so I'm not sure about Chopper, and I'm a bit confused about Dennis's scene avec Ralph and Jemima.

1. London (Sledgey)
2. Yorkshire/Sheffield area (Coco)

I've never really thought that the game tried too hard to be British. :D I think they did their homework. :3

Actually, that's how one of the documents in the game spelled the word "skull." Was that just a misspelling, or is that just a how you spell it in British English? (I don't exactly have the differences between AE and BE memorized, but I've never heard of that one before.)

And that's so cool that Midsomer Murders has some of the same actors as CT3!

It could possibly be a misspelling. Remember when Alyssa is checking that one paper (forget which one it is, I gotta play the game again.) But the spelling on it says ''Ruders'' when the subtitles always say, ''Rooders.'' Curious....

And about how believable Capcom made it: I've never been to London, but I'd say that they did a fairly good job at emulating what it looks like (looking at pictures). However, I don't think I would ever visit the sewers of London to see how well they did that, hehe.

Oh, in the Japanese version it's spelled "Ruder", but in the English version it's spelled "Rooder." Guess they couldn't change the text on the book.

Or maybe just pure laziness. It's funny how many Japanease games I've played that all they do is just change the text and get English voice actors. Makes me very sad when companies do this to good games.

Yes, they did their homework well... but some of us British don't sound like Alyssa does, although I guess I could pull off that posh British accent, seeing as I AM British... anyways. it was good,, and we have most of the places that they set it in. They did their homework so well that I give em' an A+!!!

Scull is incorrect even in British. We spell it "skull" as well, and I have also never heard of an area called scull/skull either.

Personally I think the game is great at the British side of it, I am British myself and a lot of the sort of urban areas are very similar in architect in real life (I notice this especially in the older parts of London.)

Oh yes I seem to remember that I posted this somewhere else but I got to London a lot, and I found a street that had a very striking resemblance to the street outside the Norton residence, it was really interesting! I'd like to go back there but I can't remember for the life of me where it was sadly...

The accents I thought were great as well, yes I can tell all the accents are very much genuine. (You can't slip a fake Brit past me!) Alyssa comes across as more affluent to me, apart from her massive house her accents usually associated with rich people, even though I actually have a bit of an accent similar to hers!

Personally I think the game is great at being British, it's actually one of the things that drew me to the game in the first place. (A bit of orginality! Most games these days are either in America or Japan... I like a bit of change. :) )

And I loved all the accents of the subordinates, I know lots of people who have accents like all of them, I remember someone once told me I have an accent like Corroder's. I've also been told I can do a good impression of Sledgehammer. Anyway, my favourite one is when Chopper says "Oh, nice trick, muahaha!" makes me laugh everytime.

Ah, I thought so.

NICE TRICK, HAHAHA!

Oh, and by the way, I looked through the IMDb page for Midsomer Murders, and I didn't see anyone I remember from CT3. Then again, I didn't go around looking at the actors' pages, so I might have forgotten someone's name.
