I felt like starting a thread where you could list anything you wanted about the game that perhaps you've picked up while playing or otherwise, but all doesn't adhere to one aspect and you don't want to start a whole new thread for each thing. Free discussion! Wheee. - Did anyone else pick up the 1996-style foreshadowing in Helen's Scenario 1? When Helen's in the Women's Lounge while Rose is still alive and she pulls the blinds back to look out the window, the campus is lit up by the street lights. If you have her look again, it says something along the lines of "it is completely dark outside." :O - Also in Helen's Scenario 1, why does the fire extinguisher in the lounge room corridor work against Scissorman while the one near the trash can on the far left of the 1st floor just sits there, even if you chose not to use the 3rd floor extinguisher? For some reason though, I remember using that fire extinguisher at some point. Perhaps I was playing as Jennifer then though. Lately I've been playing Helen's Scenario 1 over and over again. Someone should look in Jennifer's Scenario 1 to see if that fire extinguisher on the first floor works and then try to use the one in the lounge room corridor on the left of the third floor. Maybe the third floor extinguisher is Helen's and the first floor's is Jennifer's. =P - Jennifer's in-game face texture doesn't come anywhere close to fitting her head mesh. - In Helen's Scenario 1, there never seems to be a decapitated guard sitting in the Security Room. In Jennifer's Scenario 1 there often is, plus a security guard that is killed before Jennifer runs into the building for the first time. Where are these 2 security guards when you're playing as Helen? Also, perhaps it's the same Security Guard and Scissorman puts him in there to freak Jennifer out, but still, we're short at least one Security Guard. - In Jennifer's Scenario 1, what happened to Baker? I assume he should have been there because if Rose didn't plan to meet him, Jennifer most likely wouldn't find her dead in the building unless she really was using it as a motel even when not meeting Baker. - If you don't go into the second floor bathroom to find Rose in Helen's Scenario 1, you'll find her dead on the therapy bed in the room where the giant Scissors were in the prologue. I don't think it's random. Rose is whichever place you go first. - If you don't go into either place to find Rose, Helen won't be absolutely sure anyone's dead. She saw Baker fall over in front of her but didn't have time to check because Scissorman was chasing her. In the fax machine room, if you call the police twice, she'll still assert that her "friend" has been killed. - Anyone else think that the locker in the fax machine room that holds stuffed animals belongs to Beth? Also, in the locker where Jennifer discovers someone's underwear, and Helen just says "the person is obviously well-prepared," think they both saw it and that was Helen's remark about it? - While you can do pretty much anything else while holding one of the items you picked up, you can't use the panic button against Scissorman to escape. - In Helen's Scenario 1 if Scissorman is coming and you run into the Storage Room, you can use the pliers on the door and the key to clear the Scenario in mid chase. However, it won't let you clear the Scenario if Scissorman is in the room with you. Well, that's all I've got for now. =D This is off-topic, but what does "Enable Dice Roll?" at the bottom of the Post Options mean? |

I wish someone would do a video showing what happens when you let everyone die at the castle. I'm curious. And I wanna see the cut scenes that come before the bad endings. Especially C when Kay kills Jennifer. |

I tried this in Helen's first scenario and was able to use both fire extinguishers multiple times. Could it be that scissorman was in the hallway with you or possibly entering from the stairs? Your ability to click on the fire extinguisher stops as soon as his entrance into the room you're in begins. I had the arrow as 4 dots over the 2nd floor fire extinguisher in one of my tests and as soon as the office door opened it turned back into an arrow and I was no longer able to click the fire extinguisher. I ended up kicking him which made Helen beeline for the toilet, rushing into the office to draw scissorman back in there, and have him chase her back into the corridor so I could try using the fire extinguisher again.
I had a similar thought when I was looking through the youtube videos. I tried downloading fraps last night to see if I could record the death scenes at least (as the free version allows you to record 30 seconds long segments which is hopefuly enough) but I have not yet been able to get it to record anything at all. BTW has anyone seen the thread made a few days ago on Gamefaqs asking whether scissorman appears in the box you can use to hide in the storage room (the room with the bike just in case I named this room wrong)in scenario 1? I tried testing myself so I could answer but I couldn't get it to trigger though at least I finally got to see scissorman appear in the computer suite and Harris' head in the pan. I don't know about the box, but he can come out from behind one of the tables propped up against the wall. |

The poster knew about that part but they were asking about the box because the only walkthrough on there says scissorman can appear in it but s/he hasn't seen it even after many tries. Also, back on topic: - Fire Extinguishers seem to be partially randomised though I think I have seen all 3 appear at once. WTH?! |

Yeah, I've noticed that. There's 3 fire extinguishers that can appear at certain places, but sometimes they're not there. Also, I can't seem to get Jennifer to use any of the fire extinguishers, even if Scissorman isn't on screen. Also, Jennifer won't seem to use the plant in the room before the fax machine room. |

I finally got around to testing what you said. I got the plant to work for Jennifer easily though the place I had to click on was pretty weird; It was slightly above the highest leaves of the plant. Not exactly convenient. I also did my standard test on the fire extinguisher: Making scissorman follow me into Barton's office, waiting for him near the door of the therapy room until he gets fairly close, and then running around the other side of the desk towards the door into the hallway. In retrospect, there are far easier methods to test fire extinguishers. Also, I think you're wrong about the locker that contains underpants in the Jennifers scenario; This is the 3rd locker from the left whereas the one that makes Helen comment "this person is obviously well prepared," is the 2nd one from the left which has umbrellas etc. in regardless of the protagonist
There probably isn't much good in responding to such an old message (though that hasn't stopped me before) but there is a video that shows the scenes that come before these endings. It was made by a youtube user known as Louischou. IIRC s/he has quite a few videos pertaining to the clock tower series including haunting ground. I only realised this myself after I went to the trouble of filming them myself. D'oh. |

Hmmm, I think I'll have to try out the plant and the extinguishers with Jennifer again then. Anyone notice in Scenario 2 at Rick's house during the Scissorman chase, you can hear some kind of strange ... groaning or moaning sound? It almost sounds comedic, like some goofy ... male whining noise. I don't know how to describe it. But it's in the background of the chase music and isn't in any of the other scenarios as far as I know. |

Has it been found out yet that why did one of the boxes at one place have the text "Mauri Kunnas"? I watched one Let's Play video of Clock Tower (USA), and I was surprised to see that that this children's book writer/illlustrator's/comic artist's name appeared on the box. I haven't seen anything Clock Tower related in his book, except for a one short story in one of his books that was a story about some ghosts living in a old mansion and a large clock tower was in the mansion too. |

I don't remember it being on a box. It is one of the names on one of the laboratory doors though. |

It was actually Maury Kunnas on the door. With a y. Yet it seems too close to be a coincidence though. |

I'm *fairly* certain that it's the same security guard. Helen finds him hanging behind the...thing (I don't remember what it was, the big wood-looking thing lol) in the security room, while Jennifer finds him decapitated. It'd make sense for Scissorman to prop his body up like that in Jennifer's scenario as he enjoys toying with her, and it wouldn't be smart to leave a dead body laying around outside LOL.
I always wondered about this as well!
Now this memory comes from LONG AGO, but I remember reading on some blog shortly following CT2's release that Baker's "throat was slashed," but this couldn't properly be presented due to the graphic limitations at the time. I always found it funny how Scissorman walks into the room and Helen just runs past him, lol.
I believe she was referring to an umbrella but I might be mistaken. |

Ohhhh! The security guard is hanging behind the partition in Helen's Scenario 1?! I never discovered that. I did notice that Jennifer would walk behind the partition easily to get to the other side of the room. But with Helen, I couldn't get her to walk that way. XD Maybe I had to click in one particular spot so she'd DISCOVER the corpse. I'll have to try that now! My favorite section of Scenario 1 is when Helen enters the storage room and Scissorman pops out from behind the wooden thing. When you click the door to escape, she just casually leaves the room right after entering as if she's merely annoyed. XDDDD She's so brave. |
