Unless it's changed I believe the Bates character in the movie is a psychiatrist and Alyssa is his patient I think? Mmmm, maybe irony wasn't the right word but I still find it rather funny given the theories floating around that Sho/Bates is another personality of Yuu/Alyssa, rather than something possessing her.
