Every site has rules. We know everyone hates to read them as they seem to repeat themselves over and over and you've heard it all before. But there is certain information hidden within the rules so that you can get sorted. You'll also find the F.A.Q. here where we thought up questions you might ask and answered them already. If its not found here then feel free to post it.

Double oak front doors open to the west. A large, cavernous room is lit by torches with a ceiling so high its nearly visible. Marble staricases are seen that lead up to the first floor of the castle. The double doors to the right lead to the Great Hall where students have all their meals and first years are sorted into their houses.

While you wait to be sorted, all those who are new are welcome to post here and meet others joining the school. Once sorted, you can join your housemates at the house tables in the Great Hall.

Vast chamber with an enchanted ceiling which mirrors the sky outside. Four long tables for the four houses. Closest to the doors from the Entrance Hall is Slytherin, then Ravenclaw, Hufflepuff, and next to the far wall, Gryffindor. The teachers sit at the High Table, a table on a raised platform at the front of the room.

Detentions can somtimes be painful. You can be hanging on the wall by your thumbs for hours, or maybe even days. Depending on who assigns your detention, it won't always be so easy.

House elves of various size and rank jog back and forth, trays held high above their heads as they bring everything from fresh tea pots to warm, crisp pies to the multitudes of students and professors either in the Main Hall or their private chambers. At night, however, the kitchen is void of any loud activity, the hustle and bustle of house elves no longer present. Students and professors are free to come down for a midnight snack, if they're quiet.

Far below the safety of the main school grounds are the dark and eerie dungeons of the school. Reeking of mold and putrid bacterial growth, it's unclear as to what purpose this dreadful maze of darkness still serves...

Hurt? Sick? Injured beyond belief? Or are you just looking for an excuse to get out of that big Potions test? Don't worry, we'll fix ye up.

Well of course there are bathrooms on every floor, but these are the more famous ones. They are so popular we had to put up signs so you could find them.

All the Hogwart's Professors' office can be found at the end of this hallway. Students should visit if they have questions but make sure you know the hour the professors are in their offices.

The founders office. The only way to get here is to know the password and speak it aloud to the stone gargoyle. Only then will it let you pass and ascend the spiraling staircase to the Founders quarters.

The Hogwarts library contains tens of thousands of books on thousands of shelves. Included in its many sections is an Invisibility Section, a section with information about dragons, and a Restricted Section at the back, set off with a rope. A signed note from a teacher is required to peruse that section of the library; it contains books of Dark Magic only used by older students studying advanced Defense Against the Dark Arts.

The Owlery was a circular stone room, rather cold and drafty, because none of the windows had glass in them. The floor was entirely covered in straw, owl droppings, and the regurgitated skeletons of mice and voles. Hundreds upon hundreds of owls of every breed imaginable are nestled here on perches that rose right up to the top of the tower.

Up the North tower you will find a great many things. You might find knights of armor, and statues of stone, but you might also find a portrait of a Fat Lady in a pink dress. Was that a piece of robe sticking out from behind her frame?

The tallest tower in the castle, is the clock tower. Here, when one looks out at the sky, its almost as if time stands still and you feel like it will stay like that forever.

Up the West tower you will find stacks and stacks of stacks. Why are these books not back in the Library? You might also find knights of armor, and portraits aplenty, but you might also find a massive statue of a Bronze Eagle, how very majestic it shines.

High up the rooftops of Hogwarts sit in quiet solitude. From here one can see forever and the stars seem close enough to pull down from the sky. Come here to collect your thoughts are work on your Astronomy homework, but kissing in the dark is at your own risk.

Great place to hang out after class, take a walk in the spring, start snowball fights in the winter, you know...just hang out and have fun.

Quidditch, one of the most enjoyable things in the magical community. Try out to become a Quidditch player for your house, or just sit in the stands and watch. Either way, it's exciting.

Set off of the grounds by the lake is Hogwarts Stables. It's a quaint little stable, with enough room for the Hogwarts horses as well as those horses that students have brought along. There's a large fenced in pasture next to it to allow grazing as well as a riding ring.

Here is where you can keep track of all your purchases and money matters.

Take this pathway from the school and you'll end up in the village of Hogsmeade where you can either hang out at one of the local pubs or do some shopping!

Tapping just the right brick in the wall behind the Leaky Cauldron pub in London ("Three up...two across...") will reveal an archway which is a portal into Diagon Alley, a long cobbled street where is to be found a strange and exciting assortment of shops and restaurants, some of which have tables outside with brightly colored umbrellas.

At the end of Diagon Alley is a large tunnel that goes unnoticed by the average passerby. It can be found only if one knew to look for it, hidden behind a few fallen trees, it is large enough for a tall man to walk comfortably without hitting his head. But it leads to a darker place among the wizarding world. This tunnel leads to Knockturn Alley.

Current Chief of the Council: NOW HIRING

The Wizards' Council is the governmental authority of the wizarding world in Britain. The Council consists of several different departments, all of which work together to ensure the culture of magical folk stays strong.

Away from Hogwarts, far from Hogsmeade is the real world. The world where Wizards/Witches hide who they really are from 'muggles'. It's a dangerous world for some, one must learn to blend in with the crowd.

This board is for out of character conversations. You can talk about anything here.

This board is for basically anything and everything not having to do with Harry Potter. You can be a book critic, write your own fanfic, share your own grahpics or help people with theirs. Basically a board for just about anything you want it to be.

When a board is cleared out and there are threads that people don't want to be deleted, they are sent here for you to either continue or just lock and let it become a memory.
