Just for fun! I am a dreamer, most poetic souls are, and I often build air castles so I thought it might be fun if we had a thread where you can share your air castles/dreams with the rest of us! So here is the first prompt to get you started, you have just won a VERY large sum of money how will you spend it? There are no right or wrong answers let your imagination run free! |

Very large money would buy my independence ! I would buy myself a large house with a big wall around it with gates that I could lock & continue as I do now only with enough separate rooms to accomodate my interests. I know I'm a painter but I trained as a sculptress thus I'd make it interesting & beautiful to live in. My homes have had the tendency towards minature Art installations give me the space of my own & I could really create something worthwhile, without restrictions. I've lived here too long, big money buys the ability to move easily. I've moved so many times the hard way I've lost count, I stopped counting after 44 moves. So if I get myself a lotto ticket that wins I'm gone..... |

First I would clear any debt for myself and those I love. Then like Phoenix I would buy myself a place, one that was far removed from the human plague and open an animal rescue. I would surround myself with nature and art and spend my days enjoying both. If I grew tired of my surroundings I would travel to new places only in time to return to the sanctuary on my home. I would fund education for those deserving of higher education but unable to pay for it. I would fund research for aids and hepatitis C. I build a refuge for abused children offering a safe place and educating them so they do not become abused/abusing adults. |

Clear my mother's motgage so she owns the house outright, pay off her debts, give half to Cyril to what hy wants with, buy us a nice home, not a big one or anything but with enough room for the 3 of us with a garden and invest the rest so I can live off the interest if I want to but I would continue to wrok in the sector I do now because there is nothing in my life (so far apart from Cyril and Jane) that gives me more of a reward than the people I work with (my clients). |

I would pay of my debts and close families debts. Book a holiday to Japan!! Buy the house next door and have it knocked through so it makes one big house for us. Have the yard done zen style, buy a plot of land so we can walk the dogs in peace and let them run. Buy a blue suzuki Jimny. Give runey half. Spoil friends, help etc.. Depending on the amount, I would love to start some kind of charity too, to help adult children of alcoholics. And I would do a lot for cats, and probably have quite a few more!! :D :yoga :tea |

I would open a LGBT centre with facilities like a cafe, bar, gym, sports facilities, cinema and councilling all under one roof. Employing over 300 LGBT staff to run it. I would buy an apartment in the centre of London and a house just on the outskirts and raise a family with my gf. Before doing all this I would take the gf on holiday for a rest and some chill out time before rolling up our sleaves for the above. |

i would pay off debts, but then look at getting housing to help those in the lgt community who need somewhere to live desperately and in safety of knowing its owned by someone who has an idea of what it can be like. i would also buy some student accomodation if possible in some of the major cities to offer students safe housing. i would also help out family and friends as i could and live off the interest. i love the house im in now and its fine for my lifestyle so wouldnt need to move. would then just invest and have interest, and look at possible charity projects. |

I'm quite sensible really I suppose........ I'd pay off all my debts and all my Momma's debts, and buy her house for her...... and probably buy both my brothers their own places too. Nothing huge, just security for them. Then I'd buy myself a nice place in Edinburgh, probably a big flat in the city centre and get it decorated nice etc - kind of a home base. But sensible ickle me would rent it out so I had a constant income. I'd learn to drive but I wouldn't bother with the car to start with....... Then I'd go travel the world. There is so much to see. I don't want to see all the touristy places, I like to get a real feel for the country, spend time with the natives, see how they live... I'd go see everything I could. Probably drag my seesta a fair few places with me. When I was ready to go back home..... cuz Edinburgh really is home.... I'd probably pursue my passion - music. Not sure where I'd got with it but with enough money I could concentrate on that and it wouldn't matter if I was successful or not, I'd just do it for enjoyment. If I didn't work because money was no object I would have to keep myself busy - so I'd probably get involved in a lot of charity work too. |
