Please can anyone help me as go debt have been chasing me for about
five
months now, since yes car credit passed their debt on to them. I
purchased a
ford escort estate R reg in may 2003. Older than advertised as the
salesman
who kept me waiting for ages only asked me how much could I afford. No
vehicles in a shabby back street yard had any prices marked on them. I
was
paying £201.44 a month for this vehicle. In may of 2004 my family
credit
stopped because they said they paid me to much the previous year. so it
left
me with little to spare. I contacted YCC on many occasions telling them
of
my situation.I did write a letter to direct auto finance to let me know
where to return the car to because of my situation and not having a
address
for YCC.I never got a reply. Then I managed to get a second job in
august,
but it was monthly pay,I also told YCC this and pay the two months
arrears
on the day I got my monthly pay. A week before I was going outside my
front
door to work at 07.15 hours and I find to very large burly men waiting
in a
van. They got out and said they have come to repose the vehicle, I had
no
repossession letter and no phone calls to say this was happening. I
gave the
men the car keys as they looked intimidating.
According to the credit agreement if I paid over £2,300 plus YCC
couldn't
the car without a court order, but I paid over £2,600. I took this to a
solicitor who charged me £300 for initial advice saying I had a case.
But Go
Debt told my solicitor that the amount stipulated in the agreement was
for
the vehicle only, not including insurances extra, But it doesn't
stipulate
in the agreement. Go Debt continued to harrass me for a while, saying
that I
will be taking to court and made bankrupt and baliffs would be round.
Then
they stopped harrassing for a while. Two weeks ago a infamous
telemessage
came through the post telling me to ring them. I did and agreed on a
payment
of £50.00 a month which I can't afford at the moment, but they wanted
more
saying it wasn't enough, they wanted at least £100.00 a month.
In my opinion I've been conned by YCC, my solicitor and GO DEBT.
Please can you give me any advice as soon as possible.
