The festive period claimed a pair of big name casualties in the motor trade as Yes Car Credit and Virgin Cars went out of business. Both ceased trading during the holiday season with the loss of hundreds of jobs in the case of Yes Car Credit. Over 800 redundancies are expected after parent firm Provident Financial put the finance and used car business up for sale following losses of £6.6m during the first half of the financial year.
