 I spoke to national debtline back in january when i recieved my court date from hollis briggs, to be honest, the advice i recieved from them was completely incorrect and i wish i hadn't bothered if you want to know what they said to me i will happily post it on here
Bigpete, welcome to our forum, Feel free to post here your correspondance with the National Debt Line. My personal opinion is that it is a shame when our users have to use such a service dure to dealing with YCC/Godebt or any other DCA. Our advice is simple, before dealing with any debt collecting agency because of a YCC contract visit your local CAB to see if the debt can be contested. There are several legal arguments against YCC contracts making there way around the law circles and the CAB are the guys taking the fight to them. They will be able to tell you if you have a case. Hopefully you will not be needing to contact the National Debt Line.
Baked Are you advising against people contacting National Debtline? William
Mr. Rhodes,
I think you know full well what Baked is saying and I find your comments smug !! You are just twisting his words.
The fact that people are being forced into a situation where they need to contact ANY of these places is wrong.
When customers were offered "peace of mind" and "loan secured only on vehicle" promises, etc., and now find themselves in this position.
You seem very quick to try to undermine people , but not so willing to offer constructive comments.
I am extremely annoyed to be reading posts from people who are STILL being bullied by companies , such as yours.
